and they've been great for my trail work
I do a lot of volunteer work pruning brush along various trails. I've had a pair of these pruners for years (along with loppers and a folding saw), and they've been great for my trail work. The ratchet feature makes it easier to cut through thicker brush when needed without wearing out my hand muscles. But after much use, the ratchet teeth did wear down so that they don't work as well, and the blade got duller. (That's to be expected, especially in this price range, and I'm sure I've sometimes cut thicker branches than these were designed for.) I recently purchased another pair of these pruners, and they seem identical to the original pair, so I hope to get many more years out of them.

If you have hand strength... pass on these
Sharp ? Yes! Useful? Well.. A good pruning blade and robust... lightweight in the hand, yet great design.. sturdy... BUT the ratchet.. ugh.. undoes all the strengths. The mech is flimsy. it is finicky... sometimes it engages and for the next 10 tries it doesn't. The engineer that did this... well... I'd like to tell 'em... you shoulda fought the bean-counters harder because what they allowed you to put on this is just pathetic.

Some years ago, my husband got me a Corona Ratchet Pruner. The unique thing about these pruners is the ratchet feature. This allows you to do work that would usually require larger loping shears. After loosing my old pair, I was delighted to find these were still available and at such a great price. It's amazing the size of branches these will cut. I highly recommend.

A Great Buy!
Corona ratchet pruners were recommended to me by a neighbor. I bought one Corona and one another more expensive brand. You can't beat the Corona for the quality and the price. The more expensive brand lasted one half hour then started slipping and wouldn't ratchet but the Corona is as good as when I started using it. My neighbor said she has had hers ten years and it still works like new.
I definitely would recommend buying the Corona for the quality and the price.

You have a hard time getting something 3/4 in in them. and after you cut something the jaws don't spring back open , you have to reopen then with the other hand. slow working with

They do the job and they last. They may flex a little, but they outlast and outcut every other similar pruners that I've tried -- even those that cost much more.

Master your garden's destiny with these!
Three years ago my employer bought me a pair of these for my job. After months and months of extensive pruning, it has kept it's edge and works just as well as it did on day one. Loved it so much I had to buy my own pair for home. High quality, long lasting, ratcheting ease of usage for those of us with arthritis. Love them!

and easy to use
Sharp, light weight, and easy to use. It opens wider than my previous ratchet clippers which is very helpful

I like them alot.
They feel good in my hand and cut very well. I bought them for work along with another brand that I've used for years and I'm keeping this one for home and using my tried and trues for work because they will only be used occasionally at work. These cut nicely when I'm making wreaths and pruning average size bushes and trees. I cut up to 3/4" inch of soft wood regularly with no problem. I'll update after spring pruning.
