A Miracle of Engineering
Really, when you think about it, the quality of ink available in pens these days is remarkable. Here is a set of eight colors, including (surprisingly) brown, and every single color is deep, vibrant, and applies smoothly––a royal purple like the robes of a king; emerald green; blue that is almost cobalt; bright, clear turquoise; carnation pink; fire engine red; raw umber brown; and midnight black. The colors are so rich and intense, you can imagine using them for artwork. Maybe people do. I use them for their aesthetic pleasure and to give variety to mundane writing tasks in my home office, although I prefer the Pilot Precise Grip, which have fewer colors but even finer points and tops that come off more easily. Not all the points in this set are exactly the same. The red and brown pens, for instance, have finer points than the green and purple, but maybe that has to do with the particular color of ink. No doubt about it, the twenty-first century razor point pen is a small miracle of engineering and science, and Pilot is one of its premier manufacturers.

The best everyday pen I've ever come across. Make these part of your life.
These pens are awesome, worthy of many superlatives, and have been my go-to pen for years. I absolutely love them and have been going out of my way to stock my life with them, even when a good variety of free pens have been plentiful, for at least a decade. These pens eat ballpoints and gel pens for breakfast. The tip generates a smooth, bold (fine yet not scratchy or anemic), extremely consistent, solid line of liquid ink that makes everything (handwriting, underlining, simple drawings) look better. However--and this is a big deal for me--the ink dries VERY quickly. A stroke made with this pen on regular paper will not smear, even if you run your finger across it immediately afterwards. Find me another liquid ink pen that can do that and I will be very impressed, because I've never come across any others like it. If you are left-handed or if, for whatever reason, you tend to drag your hand over recently penned text, you will not have to suffer smearage with this pen.
The big caveat: if you are a hard-presser, this pen is not for you. The porous tip is robust and will easily last the long duration of the pen's lifetime (there is a lot of ink in these guys!) under normal pressure, but one use by someone who really takes out their aggression and bears down on pen tips will leave this tip sadly bent and likely ruined. Use often, lend judiciously.

The absolute perfect pen
In my opinion, this is the perfect pen. I have an odd quirk about pens since I hold my writing instrument straight up rather than at an angle like normal people (or so I'm told). That never works with gel pens or most ball point pens (though I admit, I'm not above snatching one that I find works for me). These pens write smoothly and leave consistent lines. I've been using them for years and guard them from all the name calling friends of mine who constantly try to steal them from me.

Excellent choice! Best pens you could ask for!
This is the second time I've bought these pens. I originally bought them last year to help me color code my planner for better organization, and have since used them nearly every day. They last extremely well, write finely and don't have leakage onto the paper like some liquid pens tend to do. The colors are bright/beautiful and easy to read, and definitely worth the buy. The only reason I'm having to replace them is because my fiance's kid got a hold of them and went wild digging them into his coloring book, otherwise I've no doubt they'd still be working perfectly with no sign of fading.

Pretty colors but not for me
Great colors and they write nicely. Problem is they bleed through paper unless you are writing on very thick pages. Also if you use them on anything shiny paper wise, the ink will smudge easily. Therefore I am not using them too much. The colors are great and the price is decent, but in the end I probably shouldn't have bothered getting these. I'll never use them up and I end up just using a far cheaper ballpoint pen.

My Favorite Pens for Color-Coded Annotations
These are by far my favorite pens. As a teacher I'm always looking for a set of multi-color pens to use in class and this has been my favorite find. I use these pens for annotations on student work and for color-coded student notes. They are finer than the papermate flair pens I've used before, and better for small annotations. While I love the Papermate Flair pens as well, I'll use those more for grading, they write thicker than the Pilot Razor Point Pens. Similarly, If you need to make tiny annotations I would say a marker pen might not be for you, The ink comes out thicker than ballpoint fine-tip pens.
I'm left handed and these pens are great because they don't smear as much as ballpoint pens, and the ink dries quickly. I would definitely recommend these pens for anyone who loves to color-code notes and prefers market pens to ballpoint pens.

Love these! Great teacher markers!
I'm a teacher so naturally I'm obsessed with all kinds of pens. Someone left one of these in the office and of course I looked them up immediately to purchase them. They can "bleed through" thinner papers so be careful of that. I love using them in my gradebook and my planner.

I'm a pen snob, these are great.
I am obsessed with these pens. I've used them in the past in black, blue, and red but I was thrilled to find the color assortment on BTA-MALL. I'm reviewing these partly because I don't want them to ever stop making them. They write so smooth, the colors are amazing. I watch the price on these a lot because it goes up and down... when it goes down again I'm probably going to buy a second set, just because. If you like pourous point pens (like Sharpie Pens) these are WAY better and they last so much longer than sharpie pens.

Not as extra fine as I'd like
I purchased the red pens to use at work. I work in payroll so I wanted a fine point red pen/marker that I could use to write notes, corrections, hours, salary, etc. on payroll cards and timesheets. The ink does start out extra fine, but it thickens before the day is over. In my pictures, the first one is from a pen I just started using yesterday. The "new 11/17/16" is with a pen I just started using this morning.

I purchased these based solely on the reviews BUT evidently the reviewers and I have different tastes in pens. Oh don't get me wrong, these are fine writing instruments but they DO NOT have the fine tips I was looking for. I considered them medium tips but maybe I'll never again find the pens I had several years ago and have been searching and searching for. If I ever do lay my hands on them, bet you bottom dollar I write down the name, product number, codes, everything I'll need to find them again.
