Great option for safe mail
Arrived quickly, easy to assemble. Lock hole was tight but a little scaping with a pocket knife did the trick. Easy to put in ground. I painted mine with some acrylic craft paint but it looked nice as it was out of the box. The other options I considered were 3x the price. Great deal.

Excellent product - ignore posts about it being difficult to assemble
This product is perfect! Rather than review this product, I'm going to respond to people who had issues. #1. Assembly - really nothing could be easier! Yes, the lock is tight, but they provide a plastic piece to pound the lock in and if you can't insert the lock, take a knife and slightly enlarge the hole - just slight scrapping. Nothing the average homeowner can't do. 2# No holes drilled for the roof. Just place the screws in the dimples and screw them in - no big deal! I really don't see how it could be any easier. If you can't handle basic hand tools, perhaps you should hire a handyman to do these things for you. Sorry for being harsh, but it does not serve anyone to bash a product with a one star rating because you are unable to use basic hand tools.
On another note - this mailbox looks terrific painted in three tones of paint! Leave the grout lines paintless - looks like the real thing! I'm proud to have the best looking mailbox in the neighborhood.

Can install successfully, but many design flaws
Honestly I'd rate this product a 3, since I managed to install it and start using it. But the issues are just too many for a $100 mailbox:
* Lock hole does not accept the lock, you have to chisel it into shape. But seriously Step2? why the hell do you not just have the lock pre-installed on the door?
* Roof does not click perfectly, there's a warped section.
* The front and back mail doors are VERY flimsy, especially the part where it connects to the mailbox body. You can pull the door off with a very slight force. My mailman has managed to pull the door off multiple times already. This is just lazy and poor design!!! Step2 you seriously can't design a door that doesn't pull right off with normal use?
* Overall the plastic is just warpy everywhere, it does not seem sturdy at all.

Compartment is useless for boxes, even the small BTA-MALL Prime box does not fit!
Compartment is useless for boxes, remember any box needs to fit though the standard mail opening to get into the lower compartment. The small BTA-MALL Prime box does not fit! The only real use is if you get a lot of flexible packages or buffer is you infrequently check mail (like if you have multiple homes). We remove the floor/divider for vacations so 2 weeks of mail fits easily.
Cosmetically it looks like cheap plastic from 20ft, no one will ever think its stone.
Assembly is required and the parts do not fit together well. The flag is hard to move, the postman never lowers it fully and I cant blame her.

updated to reflect fact that flimsy lock was jimmied.
update 31 August 2015: the lock was flimsy and was jimmied, and will no longer lock the box. I plan to find a comparably sized lock elsewhere to replace it. Disappointing, since I bought it for security reasons, not cosmetic ones!
The product was easy to assemble, although the key assembly can be a bit tricky. It is plastic, and so I'm not sure how long it will last, but the construction seems pretty solid. My old mailbox appeared to have been tampered with on occasion, so I love the fact that I can remove the divider between the top and bottom sections, and just let my mail fall down (whether I'm home or not!). I check the mail every 2-3 days, and never worry that anyone has taken anything from it. Even packages are out of reach from the top. To install it, I just sawed the top from my old mailbox post, slid the assembly over it, and used the provided lag screws to secure it. An easy one-person job. One detractor - if your ground is unlevel or your post is not plumb, the lean in this mailbox is much more obvious than in a traditional style. Be sure to make everything level and plumb before securing it to your 4x4 post!

I live on busy road so it is great to get the mail out of the back
Very solid mailbox. I live on busy road so it is great to get the mail out of the back. Had many compliments on it. Now if it survives the snowplows this winter I will be extremely happy.
UPDATE: Made it thru the winter and snow plows. YEA!!!! Succumbed to a Mercedes a couple weeks ago. Purchased this again but there were quality issues with this one. I did not check the box before I was installing. There were tears and tissue thin areas next to the post insert area (on inside). Put some gorilla tape on it and hope for the best next winter. Hopefully the other section will support this. I did not contact the seller. Just updating so you make sure and check the mailbox out when you get it.

Step2 needs better Quality Control on the MailMaster Storemore Mailbox.
The first unit arrived with broken front door and a large tear in the plastic inside the top of the mailbox. This could have been caused by a high drop on the top corner in shipping. The second unit arrived and the back door to the mail box on top would not close. If the floor of the box was in, the door does not close without the plastic hinge pins coming loose at the bottom. Step2 needs to work on their QC before product leaves the factory.

Works ok but typical molded plastic non fitting parts.
Pretty easy set up especially if you have a teenager around to dig the post hole. The instructions aren't very good but if you have any ability at all,you can figure it out.
One thing though, the paper shows a 4' post. I measured inside the box @ 3' and you need to be at least 2' in the ground.my calculator says that's a 5' post. Be sure to level your post in both directions as you tamp it in. When you slide the base Dow, check the level on top of it in both directions and make sure it's solidly against the ground. Piece of cake.

We Love it!
If you want some mail privacy and lightweight security, this is it. You need to be handy with tools or just hire a handyman to install. All the cons I read were easily overcome, but I know how to use tools and my brain. If you have an existing 4X4 post, do NOT remove! Just cut it down to accommodate the length needed for your install. With my driveway slope, I only needed about 23". The magnets can be adjusted to allow a tighter fit. I do not get any moisture with my install, but you could always buy some 1/8" foam adhesive tape at a hardware store to really seal it. I do a lot of BTA-MALL and eBay shopping so this has been a lifesaver for deliveries when we are out of town, just remove the top shelf.

good mailbox, looks great
good quality mailbox. looks nice. The box did not contain the locking mechanism but when i contacted the company, they shipped one immediately. had to wait a few days but customer support was great.
Only issue i had with this was while inserting the lock jacket into the plastic housing. the hole in the plastic housing is smaller than the lock jacket so you have to file it (and i did not have a file, so i had to go out and buy one).. hence taking away one star.
but overall, it looks better than the average mailbox in my neighborhood
