I guess I should have expected this
I bought this with an open mind but was ultimately too disappointed to hang onto it. I have purchased two products from Pyle and have ended up returning both of them. Their products are priced cheaply because they're made cheaply. Pyle knows this and hopes to capitalize on the people who don't care about quality. I happen to, and as a matter of fact I won't be buying Pyle products any longer.
In this particular box, one of the four mics did not function on arrival. It turned on but no matter what I tried I couldn't get the receiver to pick up the signal. I tested the three others and at low volume in my basement they sounded ok. So I decided to use them for a karaoke party my family was having.
At higher volumes there was static, crackling, dropped audio, some loud pops, and overall poor performance. I ended up using my two Shure wireless mics and having everyone share, which wasn't as fun but at least the sound quality was much improved.
Everyone who says "you get what you pay for"--you are right, and I should have listened. If you need four wireless microphones for something important, I would definitely look elsewhere.

Excellent product. The microphones feel professional, not like Audio 2000 that feel cheap and flimsy. The audio is excellent. I have them plugged to a Behringer USB1222 and to a Bose L1 and the sounds is clear and crisp with no hum or static. I tried the from outside the house (like 15 feet away) and they still work. The batteries seem to last a long time (we used them 5 hours straight on karaoke) and the batteries are still good. I would recommend this product. The only thing is that the microphone pictured here with the antennas at the bottom are not the ones that come with the system, this system comes with the ones without the antenna other then that the price is right and the quality is great.

Poor range, but decent clarity.
I use this system in a small mobile stage setup. The base is in a rack with amps next to the stage. The mics work well for performers on the stage, no more than 17 feet away. However, the mics also get used in front of the stage, and they begin to break up about 20-25 feet from the base. They are also difficult to get into a wireless mic clip, because of the various shape of the handles. You should see people trying to jam this mic back into a clip. They feel great, with a rubberized coating, although I'd be afraid if they were dropped. (that is why I didn't spend much money on them afterall). I'm not happy that the power supply is an old school transformer, which doesn't work well in a rack setup, so I have an extension cable inside.
UPDATE: After use at several concerts I have to lower my rating. They just aren't reliable. Occasionally, a microphone will not work at all. The outputs on the back of the transceiver do not all work correctly, normally I have to use the xlr output to get signal from all 4 microphones. The 1/4 jacks don't all function as they are supposed too, especially not the combined output jack. The worst is that the mics will cut out with the slightest peaking signal, even within 10-15 ft of the rack. I mean they are literally steps away from the unit and they will cutout, anything beyond 20 feet and you are out of luck for sure. Use fresh batteries every time to avoid signal problems, but there are still no guarantees. I wish I had my money back.

GREAT PRODUCT BUT NOT PERFECT!!
I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY KARAOKE BUSINESS. I'VE ONLY DONE 4 GIGS WITH IT SO FAR. THE SOUNS QUALITY WAS SUPRISINGLY GREAT AND BETTER THAN MY PREVIOUS MICS (SURE SM 58) BUT YOU HAVE TO PUT THE MIC A SLIGHTLY CLOSER TO YOUR FACE. THERE'S A LITTLE MORE OF A POPPING SOUND ON WORDS THAT HAVE THE LETTER "P" IN IT BUT HALFWAY DECENT SINGERS START TO SOFTEN THE LETTER AFTER NOTICING THE DIFFERENCE. THE RANGE IS PERFECT EVEN WHILE WALKING OR RUNNING AND EVEN WITHOUT CONNECTING THE LITTLE ANTENAE IN THE BACK (THE FUTHEST I'VE TESTED WAS A LITTLE UNDER 100 FT THROUGH SEVERAL WALLS), BUT I STILL PUT IT ON. THE STANDBY MODE IS ANOYING AND NOT NEEDED. THE RED LIGHT SHOULD BE GREEN BECAUSE CUSTOMER THINK RED MEANS "STANDBY", "OFF" OR "DYING BATTERY".
THE BEST THING ABOUT THIS PRODUCT IS THAT THERE IS NO HUMMING OR BACKGROUND NOISE WHEN NOBODY'S SINGING AND THERE IS ALMOST NO FEEDBACK AT ALL. I NO LONGER WORRY THAT THE SINGER IS GOING TO WANDER TOO CLOSE TO THE SPEAKER. I WAS ABOUT TO BUY A $100 FEEDBACK ELIMINATOR BEFORE I GOT THESE MICS. MY SET DID NOT PICKUP ANY RADIO STATIONS OR OTHER BROADCAST OF ANY KIND. THE BASE UNIT IS RACK-MOUNTABLE AND LIGHT WEIGHT. WORKS FINE WOTHOUT THE ANTENAES EXTENDED. THERE ARE FOUR LEDS SHOWING YOU WHICH MIC IS WHICH. THE BOX THE SYSTEM COMES IN IS SMALL AND HAS A HANDLE - I USE IT TO CARRY THE MICS AFTER I STUFFED A PIECE OF BUBBLE WRAP IN THE SPACE WHERE THE BASE UNIT USED TO BE.
JUST LIKE THE OTHER REVIEWERS I PUT BLACK TAPE OVER THE BATTERY DOOR (THAT ALWAYS GETS LOST NO MATTER WHAT THE DEVICE IS) AND THREE OF THE MICS WORK PERFECT. ONE OF THEM LOST VOLUME (I KEEP IT TO MC & LET THE CUSTOMER USE THE OTHERS) BUT I CAN ADJUST THE RF (IT JUST A SCREW INSIDE THE MIC YOU TURN LEFT OR RIGHT) OR THE VOLUME ON THE OTHERS TO EVEN THEM OUT (THE MICS CAN ALL BE ON ONE CHANNEL OR FOUR SEPERATE CHANNELS) LATER. THEY ARE MADE IN CHINA SO THE PLASTIC IS A LITTLE FLIMSY BUT NOT MUCH AND THEY HAVE A COOL SOFT FINISH. I DON'T HEAR THE BATTERIES RATTLING AROUND. BATTERY LIFE IS ABOUT 16 HRS. I WOULD RECOMEND GETTING A RECHARGEABLE BATTERY SYSTEM - THE BATTERIES THE MICS CAME WITH LEAKED IN ONE MIC (THINK THIS MIGHT BE WHAT LESSEND THE VOLUME ON ONE MIC). EVEN IF ONLY 3 WORK (I DIDN'T EXPECT ALL 4 TO WORK BASED ON PREVIOUS CUSTOMER REVIEWS) - THE SYSTEM IS STILL A GREAT BUY FOR ME CONSIDERING I PAID $100 FOR EACH OF MY PREVIOUS MICS. I'M EVEN GONNA BUY A BACKUP SET!

DO NOT BUY THIS UNIT - IT SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK.
I Ordered this unit for a small social club I belong to. Last week we opened the club. I set the PA system up and tried to hook this unit to our amplifier. I was unable to obtain any useable output from the unit. Holding the microphone vertically 4" in front of your mouth with the gain at maximum would not even move the the VU meter. Holding the microphone horizontal and placing the microphone close to my lips would cause the VU meters to respond when I spoke loudly. All four microphones responded the same. I noted that each microphone required three batteries for a total of 12. There were only 10 batteries in the box. I suspect that someone else had previously sent this unit back, but I really do not know. I tried to send the unit back today, but BTA-MALL says it is too late. I am out $130.

Perfect for my Home Karaoke!
I have the system hooked up to my home karaoke amp/mixer and it sounds great. The first shipment that arrived was returned due to one of the mics not powering on at all. However, The 2nd shipment works flawlessly. The mics actually don't have the stick/antenna on the bottom of the mics as shown, but works just fine. This is well worth the price, especially for home use. More mics=more fun!!!
One note, if you are returning or exchanging, mail it right away-the same day you request the exchange/refund. You have one month to get the product back to BTA-MALL and you don't want to pay more for shipping (to get back in time).
01/31/14 Update:The second system is going back. After 1 use (experienced no problems with it), 1 mic stopped working (no audio) and another mic will not power on. One of the mic indicator lights would stay on, even though, all the mics were powered off. There was a "white noise" after the first use.
I even tried reaching out to Pyle-Pro via email to see if I could troubleshoot it. Their response (which came rather quickly) was to either return it to the original seller (if purchased within 30 days) or send to them for an evaluation. No steps given to see if there was something I could do to resolve.
Bottomline-You truly get what you pay for, unless you are really lucky!

Works well but seems a little flimsy
I received the second one after the original arrived broken with a missing button and some rattling inside. Setup is easy and I like the weight of the mikes. It is very sensitive when close to it but you actually have to place mikes close to your mouth or up the sensitivity level which then will make it too sensitive. The actual receiver looks very good but feels like it could break easily.
I gave it 4 stars because for the price I paid it has given us a lot of fun and sounds very good! Not for professionals though.

they are great.
The microphones keep losing connection. We have tried a verity of things to figure out why they loose connection, but we have come to the conclusion that it is due to the quality of the product. When they work well though, they are great.

This product works very well and has survived many teenage parties (grand-daughters and friends) as well as the occasional use by adults. And they work very well in unison (all 4). They perform very well indeed and the battery life seems to be more than adequate. The only gripe I have, as mentioned by other reviewers is that the covers seem to just flip off the battery compartments. The batteries don't fall out, but the covers are part of the mike that you grip, so it feels kind of weird. They have been dropped, drooled on, and otherwise destroyed by mishandling, but they appear to be made of the things that energizer bunnies are made of. Very good product!

HORRIBLE for Performers/DJs, DECENT for Karoke
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Save your money, do your research and buy a better wireless microphone system.
I'm a DJ/Rapper, and I bought this for a concert where it was going to be used by multiple talents. Straight out the box, one of the volume covers for the Volume Up/Down buttons was missing. The button still worked, it just looked really off since there were 3 other buttons with silver covers, but this wasn't a big deal.
Upon testing it on my surround sound speakers, it sounded decent. All microphones had random 1-3 second cutoff periods which I couldn't measure on why or how this was happening, but being the optimistic I said this also wasn't a big deal. The sound quality when recorded through the USB output of my mixer was surprisingly good. Any vocals recorded sounded decently clear when played back on my computer. I was satisfied but not impressed at this point, but then it took a turn for the worst.
When connecting it for the actual concert is when disaster struck. There was a LOUD, overpowering low frequency buzz whenever the microphone receiver was connected to the mixer. I tried connecting it using 1/4 cables, using XLR cables, even connecting to another mixer, but no matter one, I got that large buzzing sound. The reason I didn't pick this up on my surround sound is because they're not as powerful as the venue speakers. I even tried them on my separate DJ speakers which are used for hosting house parties, and I got the buzz. This made the product 100% dead to me. The buzz overpowered the vocals so loud that you just could NOT play it with music. When turning the master volume knob from silence to a tad bit up, the buzz would overpower any other music/channel playing on the mixer.
All in all, do not buy this product. I couldn't use it live, but thank God I was lucky enough to have 3 wired microphones on me that got the job done.
