Cost-effective seat cover.
- It keeps your back and legs cool, especially if you have leather seats
- Gives a favorable vintage aesthetic to your car
- The cover itself feels very well-made and durable
- Included straps for installation broke after a week
- Unappealing smell out-of-box
- Too small for most people (I'm 5'8'', medium build, male but doesn't fully cover my behind/back)
Overall, though this product has some flaws and needs small improvements, it serves its purpose fairly well. I initially purchased this cover because my leather seat covers for my car were emitting too much heat and I wanted to find a solution that would help keep me from getting too sweaty. The beads do a good job in raising my body from the seat and allowing more airflow to cool me down. However, the included installation strings are flimsy and broke after a few days of use. Since then, the seat cover has been just hanging from being wedged in the head rest and it is much more uncomfortable to use. The beads shift around every time you sit on them or when you exit your car and it will also sag after each time you sit so they require constant readjusting. That being said, in order to get the most of this product, I recommend using stronger string to tie it down. I give it 4/5 stars because it's not perfect, but with a little love, it gets the job done -- especially for the price point.

Good option for a cool seat
This wood seat cover was simple to install and effectively keeps my backside cooler in the hot Arizona weather. I have used other wood bead covers and the Kool Kooshion is just as effective as any of them for cooling and comfort. I have not had it for long, so I cannot attest to the durability, but it appears to be solidly made and I expect it will last. It uses an elastic strap to attach to the seat which is not the most aesthetically appealing, but it is effective and I would buy it again when it eventually wear out. No problem fitting my Camaro bucket seats.

it does NOT grab the hair on my head like the one that is the taller skinny model
After short use the stitching between the panels is already coming apart. It only has one strap that goes around the upper half of the seat so it slides around a lot. HOWEVER, it does NOT grab the hair on my head like the one that is the taller skinny model. This one comes up to my shoulders. I am 6' 1".

I like the quality
I like the quality, I understand the design, but I am not a fan of it, it has a hard time staying in place with the strings that are provided, and there isn't as much coverage as I thought there would be. It's more for your legs than anything.

Works, but dubious quality
I do find these reasonably comfortable, but the quality is poor. I lifted the seat cushion portion of the beads today (have had them for just over a month now) and see all sorts of wood fragments and dust/splinters, which are easy enough to vacuum up but I'm concerned one day will get embedded in the seat and create a hole. I only weigh 125lbs, so this isn't a case of too much weight being placed on the beads beyond what's intended.
Also, you need extra string to strap down the thin section to the back of your car seat so that it doesn't go flying when you brake hard (the back of my seat is hard plastic and makes a loud SMACK noise when the beads fly back).

Absolutely the worst! Don't waste your money
Absolutely ridiculous for a car seat cover of any sort. As mentioned it is a little short but the worst part is that it comes with two strings to secure it to the seat. Literally, 2 strings. SoI tied them under the head rest and the cover constantly shifted and overtime we got in and out of the car we had to straighten them out and now because they are not secure, the fishing line they are strung with is all stretched out from where I tied them and the constant pulling. I have only had them in the car for 2 weeks. Complete waste of money, not mention that I surpassed my "return window" finding this out. I really want a refund badly nut can't figure out how to proceed.
DO NOT BUY!!

Be warned -- this seat cover is tiny!
Look at the dimensions and verify that it will fit your car's seat before purchasing.
In my 2009 Honda Civic (a very average-sized car, in my opinion), this beaded seat cover barely fills the width of the seat bottom, but does NOT cover the contoured outer sides of the seat.
Lengthwise, this cover barely comes up higher than the lumbar region (in other words, not even half the height of the seat), before it tapers to the narrow strip that's meant to drape over the head-rest. And it is still not wide enough to cover the car's seat to the outer edges.
This product is far too small, as it allows most of my bottom, legs, and back to be still in contact with the seat fabric, thereby cutting off the air-flow circulation, which is the primary reason for using such a seat cover in the first place!
I'm replacing this with a 'Zone Tech Natural Royal Wood Bead Seat Cover' (also from BTA-MALL) that looks to be adequately sized. I'll update this review once I get it in use.

I wrap a strap(belt) around the circumference of the top of my bucket seat (Mazda Miata) then fold the narrow part over the strap to comfort and it works well. I find if you tie it down as suggested it stresses the fish line and will eventually break. Also this method keeps my hair from catching. The beads are cooling and any spills /rain on the seat are kept from your person . I have a convertible which sometimes gets caught in the rain. With this, I always have a dry seat!

reduces back sweat on leather seats by at least 50%
I'm a thin guy and this has cut back my back sweat about 50-75% on my leather seats. I've read a lot of reviews that this is uncomfortable on long trips but it's fine, I drive 3 hours at a time, just move around a little. Now that it's summer i still have a little back sweat but nothing like last summer thanks to this! btw, even if you don't have a double bar headrest you can mount this upside down like I had to do, still does the job. Use the strings provided to secure this where ever you can, not just where they put the 4 strings... un-tie them and secure where it's practical (i.e. head rest bar, seatbelt buckle reciever, lever, etc.). I've used this for about 5 months and it's still holding together great. I recommend it if you have leather seats and don't want to wear an undershirt to allow skin to breathe to not sweat.

it works, but...
I drive a roadster always with open-top and black leather seats, so in the Florida heat I have a problem with sweat on my back and pants, plus the leather deteriorating. as soon as I tried this product I could feel a draft of fresh-air under me! it works!
a couple of things... the shape and size doesn't exactly conform to the large area of leather on modern cars. I wish it were wider and a bit longer down toward the seat. the attachment is totally worthless with 4 flimsy cord laces. but the head area is very long (but skinny) and I am able to flop it over the top of the headrest and hold it in place with a couple thin black bungee cords around the back of the head and to the shoulder-area, for a neat installation..
the construction seems flimsy, made of fishin' monofilament holding the beads together. I wonder how long it will be before it falls apart, especially at the spots where my bungee hooks are attached.
still, for the price of $13, I would buy it again, even if I have to buy a new one every summer.
