Ok watch, water resistant, inexpensive and compact.
50 meter water resistant, digital wrist watch. Readable, if smaller face writings. It's not too large on a wrist but the illumination does a poor job. An ok timepiece for swimming or shallow snorkeling, as long as no functions need to be activated while submerged. As for the band, it Costs almost the price of the entire watch, and can only be replaced with a Casio band. It does have a mineral dial cover and considering the cost through BTA-MALL, $16.00 it would be acceptable but the case is painted plastic not steel. BTA-MALL decreased the asking price the day after purchasing. Considering the design and discrepancies between the description and this watch, I returned it and BTA-MALL's return policy is excellent. Thank you BTA-MALL.

Outstanding watch that outlasts the band.
Really like this watch. Large full-face screen and numbers; light weight; screen lighting feature for night viewing works great. Watch has all the features you need and looks good as well.
The one drawback, from past experience with this model Casio: Expect the rubber watchband to crack and break within 18 to 24 months. The special design of this watchband means you cannot replace it with a standard "pinned" style watchband. You will be faced with the decision to order a new specialized band for this model Casio watch, or else buy the whole watch NEW for about the same price as the band alone. Most folks just buy the whole watch again and discard the fully functioning old one with the broken band. Bottom line: An excellent watch that is so cheap (the price of 3 Starbucks Lattes) you treat it as disposable and replace it every couple years when the band breaks.

Like Casio watches. Have used them for many years and still will into the future.
I have purchased Casio watches for years. I only need a simple watch with just a few features. This watch has the features I want and the price is reasonable. As noted in other reviews, my biggest problem with Casio watches is that the bands will break long before the watch stops working. However, at this price point I don't have a big problem with that as I just buy another watch and toss the old one. Once in awhile I can find a replacement band at a reasonable price, but if not it's not a big deal to get a new one. I'm tough on watches sometimes, so I don't like spending a lot of money on a watch just to ruin it. And I don't need to have my watch make a fashion statement. The Casios are tough enough for what I need and if they scratch a little, I don't mind as long as they still keep time and I can read the dial.

I've owned three. Great watch, but weak band.
Love the watch. Has nice features like stopwatch, dual time zone and military time at a push of the button and a clean face with an easy to read display. I like the cleaner less gimmicky look and my wife likes the look. This one came with a ten year battery, and was a great buy at BTA-MALL's price of $14. Visited my cousin and he had the exact same watch and also really liked it. I have gone swimming with it and no problem. So why only four stars? Because this is the third one I've owned and the band is the weak spot. I will never get ten years out of the battery because the band will break in five years or less. My cousin was on his second or third one also. Just like me, he liked the watch, but the band failed. I hope this one has better materials in the band, but at $14, assuming it does last 4 or 5 years, I won't be too upset.

NOT JUST FOR MEN !! :)
I absolutely love this watch. I asked if it was too big for a woman before I purchased it. I really think it's perfect for men or women (unless you really like "dainty" watches). I had a women's Armitron watch that I liked, but whenever I needed to change the time or anything else it was a nightmare figuring out how to do it. This watch is so easy to change anything on it. The Top Left button is "A" Top right "B" Left bottom "C" and Right bottom "D". That's all you need to know in order to make changes. Once you've done it you find out how easy it is. I accidentally changed it to 24 hr time (military time) one day and freaked out.....then found that all I had to do is hit the Bottom "D" button. What could be easier? It also has a button that lights up the face that really comes in handy. What I like the most is the Day, Date, Year, and Time are all shown on the face, and they are large enough to see easily. This watch has everything I was looking for....an inexpensive watch that's easy to use, lights up, has all the information I need on the face, and easy to see letters and numbers.

Fine inexpensive wrist watch
Very good, reliable wrist watch; excellent value for the money. My one criticism is the watchband. I bought this model to replace a nearly identical earlier model. As is true of all these resin or rubber watchbands, eventually they break at the place where the groove into which the clasp is inserted is located. This particular model's band attaches differently than most other watches I have owned do. Whereas those typically have a spring loaded tension rod, each end of which fits into holes in the watch body, this model's band is attached with screws to the watch body itself, without a rod. I have not found replacement bands designed for this type of attachment mechanism, which is why I purchased a replacement watch instead of just a replacement band.

Another lovely watch to add to my drawer of broken Casios
I first bought this watch in December 2012 in order to replace a previous Casio watch that failed because the resin case broke where the band attaches. I have had this happen with Casio watches with increasing frequency in the past four years or so, and I began to wonder if the model I previously favored was actually out of production and perhaps I was actually buying NOS -- new old stock. In other words, I wondered if the watch and thus the resin case was already old before I bought it. That's why, last December, I picked a more recent model -- this one.
My theory was wrong: the watchband attachment point on this model crumbled in July, so I bought another one. What was I thinking? I don't know, perhaps that maybe the next one would do better, and I'd also have spare parts. Wrong again: the second watch of this model lasted less than three months, half the life of the first one, and once again it was the attachment point that failed, crumbling spontaneously and irreparably.
I have a drawer in my study with eight Casio watches, all of which have spontaneously failed at the watchband attachment point. Most of these watches are still running and still keeping time, but none can be used as a wristwatch. My first Casio watch, purchased probably 30 years ago, lasted 12 or 15 years and went through probably six or eight watchbands before the case failed. Each replacement watch has lasted for a shorter and shorter period. It is a marketplace abomination that Casio can produce such fine timepieces and give so little attention to the quality of the case. Surely it is no accident that the resin case carries no warranty whatsoever.
I am doubtful that Casio reads these reviews, but I am in any case done with this brand. I've just ordered an Armitron, and I'll let you know how long it lasts.

Perfect "work" watch... or when engaged in outside activities too...
A great choice for a "work" watch... whether on the job or doing outside yard chores.
My nice Seiko automatic movement watch stays safely inside the house and therefore not on my wrist on such occasions and at risk of sustaining damage.
Casio's digital display is easy to read and if it happens to get lost or broken... the replacement cost for a new Casio like this is nominal.
This is the third (3rd) of this model as I've bought over the years.
Casio's battery life is phenomenal, by the way.

This watch is for my father. At 101 he needs a basic watch that had big enough numbers for him to read easily. This watch fits the bill.
This is actually a replacement for the same watch he has had for about three years. The strap retainer broke but the cost of the strap was only $5 less than a straight out replacement.
Although this is only true for us, my only criticism is that it is too easy to push buttons by mistake. At 101 he gets confused when the watch display changes unexpectedly.
