Pretty Good Gift
I purchased this as a gift for my niece as a part of her birthday present. She already had so many toys and it was difficult to try to find something different that she wouldn't grow bored of and forget about a week later. I purchased this and a few other craft items so that we could put them together and build something while learning about painting, colors, and actually spending time outside.
We really enjoyed working on this cute little windchime together, and it did include the following items:
-two mini-ceramic pots (makes ONE windchime)
-strings needed for assembly
It also included instructions on how to put the windchime together, and a chart detailing what colors to blend together to make new colors. It wasn't specific to the colors actually included in the kit, but did apply to some of them, which was a little weird, but educational for my niece. It was fairly easy to assemble, and my niece enjoyed painting it.
There are three reasons that I gave this a 4 instead of a 5.
1) This is a VERY tiny windchime. It was fine for my six year old niece because it was easy for her to paint everything and hold the pots herself, but the end result was a lot less impressive because it was small.
2) I feel that due to the size, there should be at least two windchimes included in this kit. Instead, it's just one baby windchime.
3) Though easy to assemble, there was some issue getting the windchimes to stay in place instead of slipping and becoming uneven.
Overall, this was a fun project and my niece enjoyed it so I'm happy with the purchase. I was a little disappointed in the size of the overall product, but if you are okay with this or just want a fun, inexpensive, small project for a child to work on, this is great.

This was a gift to a friend who recently lost her mom and has grandchildren. I had read a poem that referenced the tinkling of the chimes as a reminder of the love between a mom & daughter as being forever even though her mom couldn't be seen and heard anymore. So I thought as she goes through her grieving process and Mother's Day is approaching, she with her grandchildren could make the chimes by decorating the pot with pictures and words of some of her mom's favorite things or their memories. She was touched and it was better than flowers.

No way I can recommend this to anyone
So disappointing for a little 5-year-old who was so excited to get it. The bell-part seemed to be made of something like chalk...just sort of disintegrated after about 10 minutes outside. The whole preparation part was nice, though...choosing the colors, painting, etc.

It's small, but alright!
This is alright as a small (and I mean VERY small) little craft wind chime. If you are wanting something that puts out actual wind chime sounds, this is not for you. However, if you are wanting something for you or your child to get craft with, this was a fun little (yes I am using that descriptor again) craft to do.

It's OK. My daughter had fun painting it, then I had to put it together. I'm not sure who wrote the instructions, but they're terrible and miss steps. I had to mostly put it together based on the picture on the box. It's all super tiny. Like, really really tiny. It kept my daughter busy for about 30 minutes though.

Great but small
My girls and I love arts and crafts so they each out one for my 5 year olds birthday. I love these for what they are however they were difficult to put together (for me). The holes in the pots are too small for the stings that are sent with them. I would also say a huge complaint is how small the pots actually are. I was expecting small but not that small. Though the size was a shock and they were semi difficult to put together. They do sound beautiful and we had fun making them. We have kept them inside, I am not sure how they would hold up outside, though I believe the paint is tough as it has refused to come out of my daughters dress so they may stand up to the weather.

Great little project
This little project is a great time filler. We purchased several for our 5 year old daughters birthday and the kids had so much fun creating their individual chimes.
The kit comes with everything you need..... 2 little (they are small) planters - white and ready for decoration, paint - the paint colors are neon bright, brush, chimes, line to attach chimes and string for hanging.
The paint is nice to work with. We added our own glitter, google eyes, rhinestones etc.
The only negative thing I would say about this kit is that it was very tedious and impossible for small hands to assemble and attach the chimes with the fishing line - that was daddy's job!
Otherwise it is a great project.
Note: we have kept our wind chime in a very protected area of our porch both from bright sunlight and wind.

Better then any "toy" !!
I purchased this kit for my Niece's daughter (age 8) so that she could "make" her Mom's Christmas gift. I was amazed at how well an 8 year old could design and paint the chimes using her Mom's favorite colors. The Wind Chimes are adorable, very durable and have a wonderful sound as the breeze blows around them. Needless to say, her Mom absolutely Loved her gift. I will not hesitate to purchase once again for my GDaughter to design for her Mom's Christmas Gift .. or mine :)

Very dissatisfied, materials are cheap and its hard to put together. The flimsy strings provided in the kit are impossible to string through to hang up the wind chime. I made this with my 6 year old and was dissapointed we couldnt actually hang it up outside

The paint in this kit is mainly water so it won't even stay on the little wind chime pots. Very frustrating for 7 year olds--and 60 year old.
