A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED
I purchased this vest based on the reviews of other purchasers. It was supposed to be very comfortable but I found it to be cumbersome. I haven't
used it on the water yet and maybe I'll get used to the feel over time. I hope so because it was one of the more expensive jackets that I've seen.
I do like the idea that it is a Type I jacket and can be used for all types of boating. It has some nice safety features, like the reflective patches and
the whistle. After I use it for awhile, I may come back to update this review.

Most comfortable non-inflatable Type I
This is what I will put on if I think there's a realistic chance I might go in offshore, e.g. working outside the cockpit in rough weather. Inflatables are nice, and I wear them in easy conditions (daytime IN the cockpit), but if the chips are really down you don't want to depend on an inflator.
Why not 5 stars? Needs crotch straps and more attachment points for radio, locator(s) and tools. Integrated harness would be nice, too.

When fastened and pulled snuggly about me, found that I could still row a single crew shell without obstruction. This jacket added a level of safety for me when rowing by myself since seizures are a possibility for me following recent brain surgery.

fits great and i'm an XL guy. it's comfortable to wear all day fishing. it's actually more comfortable that some other vests made expressly for fishing. may not be stylish but if you're not a great swimmer you can feel much better with this well made product.

Fits well and although a little bulky it does inhibit rowing in a kayak. It is easy to buckle and is well made.

A very fine PFD
The deluxe style of this I think is very worth the few extra dollars, considering what you get, though I haven't seen any lights that attach to the shoulder mounted patch yet. Still, even after extended periods of wear it is very comfortable, with minimal intrusion in your activities, though I do warn you it doesn't breathe that well so the wearer will get a bit sweaty in it.
I still recommend this vest though. It's foam core is softer than other vests and provides unseen comfort when wearing it. Though the price may be a bit off putting if you want just basic floatation protection, I feel the features make up for it.
