Works. However, must know few things. We were using ez drain perforated pipe, we used a connector between the pip and the emitter.. it will leak lots of water, you must seal the connection as the water will not continue up verticaly and out unless it is sealed. we used gutter seal, and some waterproof silicone caulk to seal the seams and works flawlessly.

Does what it is supposed to, pops up with rain. I did have a similar drain get run over and its lid demolished by my lawn service. If buying again, I would look for one with a spring loaded cover hoping to not have that happen again.

Great Replacement - Can It Be Sold Without The Elbow?
I have had to replace the same drainage emitter twice due to my own negligence while mowing. This has easily fit the bill. The only thing about is that I don't need the elbow - that is installed and buried in the ground already. Not sure how much the elbow costs as part of the overall cost of the product, but I wish they'd just sell the emitter without it. Or maybe I can just remember to not have my mower set so low when going over my problem one.

Plug is cheap
One time over with the lawn mower and BAM! sucked the cover up and turned it to kibble.

Work great for our house at the beach
Work great for our house at the beach. Ground is pretty much all sand so water never seems to come out the top. I drilled holes in bottom of the pipe once I got away from the house a ways to help spread water around.

Great for terminating downspouts away from the foundation
These little pop-ups are fantastic for terminating downspouts. Just take some black plastic drain tile with a downspout fitting, bury the tile as far as you wish to carry the water, then put this thing on the end. Just be sure to have it flush with the ground or your lawnmower will hit it. The lid closes when there is no water running, so it keeps rodents from nesting in your drain tile. This is a great little device.

A good alternative to the pipe sticking out in the yard.
These finish off the drainage line from the downspout nicely. I wish they were a little more durable, but the price from BTA-MALL was cheaper than locally. I would recommend using these along with some type of gutter guard, otherwise debris may get clogged inside of them. It beats hitting the end of the pipe with the mower.
