Golf Laser Rangefinder
The first rangefinder I received after about 3 times using it, developed a red splotch inside the viewing area. Might of been a drop of oil. Not sure what caused the problem. I called Bushnell costumer service and they had no idea what could cause that to happen. If I wanted to pay $10 I could ship it to them. Instead I talked to BTA-MALL customer service and they were great (or at least I thought so at first). They shipped me another rangefinder with instructions on how to ship the defective one back, all at no additional charge to me. The only problem is the second one shipped to me was a factory rebuilt. While this one works fine and I really like the rangefinder, I was disappointed to get a factory rebuilt since originally I had paid for a brand new rangefinder. Not sure whether to be upset though, since the rebuilt one works okay. It will be interesting to see if BTA-MALL responds to this review. One positive is that it is really easy to return a defective product with BTA-MALL. There system of having you type in a phone number (on line) to call you, works extremely well. My only complaint is they didn't tell me they were going to replace my defective rangefinder with a rebuilt one. So rather than five stars I have to give it only four. I would be interested in some comments on my complaint.

Works well, but....
This is my second golf laser rangefinder and I can honestly say this one is much easier to use than the first (some generic model I got cheap). The rangefinder is nice and compact, plus the Pinseeker technology works as advertised. Here's the catch...after owning this product for just a few weeks, I noticed that there is a stain in the viewfinder. It's not on the outside, because I have cleaned all the lenses and it is still there. It doesn't affect the way the rangefinder works, but it is distracting. This is where the 2 stars comes in. I sent email to Bushnell support about the problem. Their response is to have me send the item to them for "evaluation" (no guarantee of repair or replacement) for 4-6 weeks. In addition, I have to send a check for $10 to cover return shipping!! Unfortunately, I have several important tournaments during the next few weeks and don't want to be without a rangefinder.

Bushnell is the Titleist of Rangefinders!!!!!
When you think of a golf ball, your first thought is Titleist. There's a reason for that. They are the number one ball in golf!! The same goes for Bushnell and their rangefinders. When you need a rangefinder, Bushnell should be your only choice!! They build a quality, accurate, and an easy to use product! The Tour V2 is the second Bushnell that I have owned and I will never own anything other than a Bushnell. This is the first time having one with the "pinseeker" technology and extremely pleased with that feature. It really does distinguish the pin from background clutter. The size and weight make it very easy to hold on your target without having to brace it or use a mount. Definitely the best Bushnell I've had yet. I know this, when I need yardage and I get it from my Bushnell, I know that I can trust it!!! Plain and simple!!!! If you're looking for a rangefinder and are on a budget, this should be your ONLY choice!!!!

Bushnell makes a great product but...
I think Bushnell makes the best laser rangefinder on the market but if you can't see the flag you cannot use this product and as a result, I like the Garmin S2 watch better for two reasons: 1) It calculates your driving distance, so if you hit a ball in the rough or behind trees in a tight fairway, once you start walking the Garmin watch will tell you how far you are from the tee, so if you think your ball travelled 270 yards, when you get to the 270 yard range from the tee you can start looking at your ball. I have found that to be an amazing feature that you just cannot utilize with a rangefinder. 2) On a dog leg or when you are in trouble in the rough, if you cannot see the flag you cannot use this rangefinder. With the Garmin watch, you always know how far you are from the green. So in conclusion, this is the best rangefinder on the market but I would take the Garmin S2 watch over this.

Bushnell Tour V2 works great!
After a bad experience with an Izzo Swami 3000 GPS (very inaccurate), I decided to try a laser rangefinder. I tried both the Bushnell V2 and the Leupold GX-1. I liked the extra features of the Leupold, however, as others have commented, I found that the yardage reading below the pipper as in the Bushnell was preferred. Additionally, if you wear glasses when you play as I do, the slight extra distance of your eye from the range finder lens moves the Leupold yardage readout out of your line of sight resulting in one having to tilt the Leupold after taking a laser shot in order to read the yardage.
I have used the V2 a few times now and it is simple to use, easy to read (even for an old guy) and is very accurate. I am very happy with the performance.
Update on 10/29/12: The battery lasted roughly 20 rounds or so. One drawback is that there is no low battery indicator. It just acted wacky all of a sudden until I changed the battery. Probably a good idea to carry a spare battery. I am still amazed at how it has helped me hit to the right distance. Still worth 5 stars.

My second Bushness/perhaps my last
I've had this bushnell Tour v2 for 1 1/2 years. Requires CR2 battery which has never had a very good battery life. I had to change about every 6 weeks and now I have to change ever 7 days - play 3 times a week. My last bushnell had a 9 volt which lasted a very, very long time. Plus the older model would give a "heads up" re: low battery warning LOB - this model does not. I hate it.
I called bushnell and I will send back to them since it has a 2 year warranty. However, I have to pay the shipping and was told it will take 3 to 4 weeks. Just Great!!!!!
Anyone know a better range finder to buy,

Accurate and reliable
I finally paid for quality. I tried to save a few dollars by buying a generic online. After two lemons, one returned, and it's
failed replacement now in it's box on the shelf, I returned to Bushnell. I own, and was using one of their old yardage pro 800
models. bought new for $400 years (10?) ago Without Pin Seeker technology, it's effective range was diminished. It too is in
it's original box on the same shelf. in a proud position, still in excellent working order !
The tour V2 Standard is a double click: one "on" - one "press and scan". Works every time !
At 71 years, knowing the distance to pins I can no longer air mail, may be a bit humbling, but being able to compensate
with better club selection pays off !

I had a Nikon rangefinder that I had won as a doorprize at a golf tourney. The Nikon is advertised for use in hunting but I was told by a Golfsmith salesperson that it was the same as a Callaway rangefinder. NOT true. I always had problems that I could not hold the rangefinder steady enough to get a reading so I always got yardage off the side of a bunker or from the golfers in front of us tending the flag. No need for that now. This Bushnell with the pinseeker technology gives you a yardage reading right to the flag. It locks in on the flag and gives you a yardage reading. Other reviewers have complained about battery life but I've already used it several rounds and have had no problems. Works great for me!

Very pleased with the Rangefinder and the Value.
I had my doubts when I ordered this because of the discounted price. I figured there was a 75% chance it would be a used piece of junk but I took the gamble and am glad I did. It works perfectly and has been very helpful on unfamiliar golf courses. I have owned sky caddies in the past but to be honest I like the range finder better. Very helpful on the driving range getting the truth about my distances. I have found I like to use the scan mode more that the pin seeker mode. I want to thank BTA-MALL for the 30 day return policy. This takes the stress out of being stuck with a lemon product. Just return it if not happy. Love it!
