Works way better than it should for the price.
I bought this primarily to hola at the fly ass honeys on the sidewalk or heckle degenerate transients from the comfort and safety of my locked SUV. Lets be honest, there is not legitimate reason for a good Christian boy to have a PA mounted to a civilian vehicle. But if you are here reading this then you are probably no stranger to wasting money on toys for your rig. That makes us kin.
I installed this inside the bumper of my 4runner. I'm powering it with a Cobra mini CB(that I also don't need) and it works great! I have had it installed for about 4 months and have seen all kinds of weather. The way I installed this it is shielded from most of the water and debris the tire would throw at it but it still sees a fair amount of moisture and road grime. Hasn't seemed to phase it. I was a little worried that being inside my bumper the sound would be muffled but it is pretty loud. I'm able to yell profanities at buddies ahead of me on the trail and they can hear me loud and clear.
Just to straitin' out some of the bone heads that have been reviewing this, you do have to run it through some kinda amp. PA out on a CB will work perfectly. I hooked it up to my phone as soon as i got it and guess what, it was super quiet... doubt your phone or iPud is cranking out 15amps through the headphone jack. So there's that.
This is a toy with essentially zero practical uses and like a billion impracticable uses. Come on dude, Buy it.

Loud and Clear
I've got a cheap Cobra CB installed in my SUV so I can pretend I'm a trucker. So far I haven't had much luck getting any real truckers to hear me. You know who CAN hear me though? Anybody standing within about 500 feet from the front of my truck as I bark orders and make weird noises through my sweet PYLE PSP8.
Installation is only as difficult as you make it. It comes with everything you would need to install it pretty much anywhere you want. I chose to install mine under the radiator behind the bumper. Because of where I chose to put it, I needed some longer bolts, but I could have picked an easier place to screw it in under the hood. I like to have everything as factory as possible so I decided to splice in a few extra feet of audio cable so I could run the wire invisibly around the engine compartment and bring it through the firewall with the main wiring harness on the driver's side. It plugs right into the back of your CB and that's it. It's powered by the CB so you don't need to run anything else.
Now the $10,000 question...is it loud? Like I mentioned, I have mine mounted in what I felt was the ideal location on my truck. It is bolted to the frame directly behind a series of vents in the bumper, so it isn't muffled at all and is coming out full strength and I can say it is really loud but very directional. If you are off to the side of the truck it doesn't carry as far. I had my oldest son help me experiment by walking straight out from the truck and talking to him the whole time. We stopped at about 100 yards because it was annoying the neighbors, and he said it was just as loud 100 yards away as it was 10 yards away.
It's been mounted for about 2 months now and seen about 2000 miles on the truck, including some long hauls (picked that up from listening to the CB) and it is holding up just fine. It has also been great for embarrassing my kids by announcing my presence at sports practice and school pickup, "Hey James! I'm here!! Hurry up! Run!! Run!!!"
I highly recommend this speaker! It's a cheap and super fun mod for your vehicle that I guarantee you will enjoy.

Not the best but it works
This little horn is not very loud if you put it in the front grill of your car compared to my 80 W Powerhorn that I got in the truck but it fits mine came with rusted bolts and had a short it it but after some mending I got it to work and that's my thing about it to me it's basically just a cheap piece of plastic so I give it two stars

It is super fun saying stupid sh*t to random people
So anybody buying this knows there is absolutely no need for the product. When the new CB I installed in my truck had a PA output I suddenly needed this product. I mounted it in the engine bay of my k1500. It is plenty loud to hear over the engine while idling and at slow speeds. It is super fun saying stupid sh*t to random people.
on 2015-10-27 Indestructible, Great price (NEED AN AMP IF USING A MUSIC PLAYER)
This thing is the best. Every time I use it i say it's the best 10 bucks I ever spent. Have this on the front of my Jeep (for totally official purposes and not yelling at random people on the street or a way to wake up my friends at 3AM). It works great on my 1975 Midland 23 channel CB, and is loud enough for modern sound-proofed cars ahead of me on the highway to hear me. Just note that When hooked up on your CB, the VOLUME KNOB AFFECTS HOW LOUD YOU SOUND. Speaker is clear and loud, and has survived being driven through several states non-stop and submerged in mud puddles up to the doors. Only problem issues are the screws on the mount and inside the cone rust, but doesn't hurt the speaker one bit. Get it, it's the best (now $8.50) you'll ever spend!
If you're going to be using this straight out of your music player like an iphone or mp3, you need an amp like this one:Pyle Home PHA15 3.5mm 1/8-Inch 150 Watt Mono Audio Amplifier
Obviously, that will involve stripping the speaker wire, attaching it with a female connector, and powering the amp

Hard to complain about something that cost under $10 and works. It is a cheap item, no doubt about it, but it works fine. Hooked it up to a PA on my CB radio, and the speaker is clear and loud.
I'm not sure how long it will last - but for now it is perfectly fine.

Definitely not as loud as it claims...but it does alright. I suppose it depends on how and where you mount it, but the wire is not that long. I wired mine to the back on my CB/PA mounted on the roof of my jeep just above my rearview mirror, so the wire went from there, through the top bar, down the side on the windshield, through the firewall, and would only come to the middle of my engine. Would have liked to mount it to my bumper (may have been louder then) but the wire wasn't long enough. Might splice in some additional wire when I feel like it and see if that works better.

Got two of these mounted in my front bumper hooked up to a CB radio with no amplifier. When I make comments like "I hate when you leave but I love watching you go" when fat people walk across the crosswalk or "burger king gave me the s***s" as I am in traffic next to a drive through window I can definitely tell that people can hear it. They are looking in rear view mirror and all over its the greatest past time ever. Worth the price. I hooked a splitter into the cb in order to plug in two speakers.

Works great and I've had it on for two years. I did have it in a spot in my engine compartment that made water get in it. I didn't realize it until I decided to take it out because I felt like the sound was a bit muffled. I poured out the water and it continued to work and is much louder again. I would say that it isn't AS loud as I had hoped, but it could just be the position in my rig. Good speaker overall.

Didn't expect much from this speaker for such a cheap price, but I sure was wrong! This little speaker is small enough that it easily was hidden in the bumper of my 08 civic even with the fog light kit taking up extra room. I hid the radio in my console and ran the wire inside. To my surprise the wire was just long enough and required no extension, however trucks will most likely need more. Once hooked up to my CB it came to life with loud screams of audio. This thing is so loud that with my CB on full volume I cant talk with the windows down without feedback. My radio is a Uniden 40 channel basic radio that I purchased only for use as a PA, and it has no problem sending my voice through this speaker. Hopefully it holds up as it seems of good quality, but it is so cheap that it wont be an issue to replace if it lasts a little while.
