I truly believe that without these comfortable shoes and the walking
Some years ago, I fractured my big toe and have problems since bending it fully. The curved sole of this shoe makes it possible for me to walk without pain. I also met a woman recently who told me that she had planter's fasciitis and she wears these shoes for the same reason - to walk pain free. I walk 4-10 miles daily and lost 50 pounds within 5 months wearing these shoes along with a complete change of eating habits (no food after 6PM, lots of water, absolutely NO sodas/deep fried foods, nuts and berries as snacks one healthy meal mid-day).
I truly believe that without these comfortable shoes and the walking, I would have not been able to reach and maintain my ideal weight.

Best shoes I have ever owned!
Love, Love, Love, Love - the most comfortable shoes ever! I don't care about the toning (or not) aspect, I just want 'happy feet'!
I used to buy very expensive, top of the line, name brand running shoes. Then one day while on vacation and after a full day of walking, my feet were very sore. I was in a mall and came across a kiosk selling these shoes, so I decided to give them a shot (this was about 6 years ago!).
WOW! I now own about 10 pairs of the exact same running shoes (I am not a hoarder, I just don't want to be left 'empty handed' one day!).
After a full day at work, which means 8+ hours of walking and standing, my feet are ecstatic and full of energy!
I have also used them at the gym (aerobics/dance classes), spinning (cycling) and even riding a Segway and they are great, despite the fact that they are not flat!
My feet are wide and they come in a wide size = perfect fit!
The only negative, they don't last forever and Sketchers stopped manufacturing them. But...luckily you can still buy them on BTA-MALL (and probably eBay)!
Did I mention how much I love, love, love, love these running shoes?!!!

size *does* matter!
This is the second pair of Shape Ups I have purchased over the years, but these are entirely too large for my feet! In fact, I had to double-check the label as I was certain I must have been sent the wrong size. But, no, the label is correct. However, the footwear is too large. In fact, I just went for a mountain hike this afternoon and TWICE my heels came completely up and out of the shoes on the incline :( I guess I'm going to have to try wearing two pairs of socks? I dunno. Despite that fact, they are comfortable, appear durable, and provide a decent amount of arch support and LOTS of cushioning.

Sole came unglued after just of few weeks of wear.
Cannot leave a good review due to the fact that the entire sole on one shoe came unglued and I had to go buy a pair of other shoes in the middle of the day. I could not return them due to the fact that I didn't start wearing them until several months after purchase. I have to wear this kind of shoe because I am on cement all day and on my feet, so I have to keep an extra pair on hand. I am usually happy with them.

Love my Sketchers
I love my sketchers I stand on concrete floors all day and they are very comfortable. I don't have pain in my legs or feet any more. And I like the rocking motion in the shoe. I have been getting compliments on these because the soles are thick. And they like the style. Sketchers are about the only shoes I wear now. Besides bear paws . I have several pairs now They are very cushy. I used to wear the woodsy girl tone ups as well those were also very cushy but I can't seem to find those anymore. Oh well I will continue to ordering these. And you can usually find these on sale from 33 to $50. So that's a bargain.

Rocker bottoms save my big toes!!!!!
With big toe problems/a joint replacement in one - the rocking motion saves my feet! A little heavy for a sneaker - but one they're on my toes are happy. The heel slips (even with re-lacing a specific way to tighten the heel) but that's to be expected since I had to order a wide because of my toes. They are sharp looking - little sparkles here and there - not too much - and two sets of laces (white and black). Overall quite pleased - hard to find rocker bottom shoes that I can afford!

I am on my feet most of the day at work. We have to wear non-slip shoe soles. While these do not have the sole feature just mentioned, they are excellent shoes. I was searching for a shoe to give my feet some relief. I complained to a sales representative in a shoe store about not finding a shoe for work that would give me help with my feet. I explained the rules for my work shoe. I had not found a shoe that was designed for work that were not so stiff and caused my feet to hurt from the time I put them on until I took them off of a night. She immediately knew why I was hurting behind the ball of my foot. She recommended the Sketchers to me. She said she was 18 hours every day on her feet and was having the same issue. She had switched to the Sketchers. I tried on a pair at her suggestion and it was instant relief. I have worn these for about four years now. I can wear one pair for about a year before I need to replace them. I am sold on this style of shoe. I bought all they had in my size this past spring at the store I first purchased these from. I came home and looked them up on the internet as I heard due to the law suit, they would be hard to find. I now have five pair stashed away. I hope something comes along as wonderful in the future for those of us who suffer from feet that need more cushion. I did not have an issue with the rocking type heel as some complain about. I do not have issues with not being stable on my feet. The sales representative told me from the start to walk normally and do not look at your feet and it would come automatic to you as how to walk in these shoes. I think they are the greatest shoe invention yet. I love that you have a choice in styles of shoes also. I have chosen the tennis shoe type for work but may try some of the other styles out there also.

get the 2.0 version instead
I've got flat feet and the older I get, the more they hurt, so I'm always searching for anything that won't kill my feet. First I got this version without the memory foam insoles and I wasn't too impressed, they weren't nearly as comfortable as I wanted them to be. I returned them and got the 2.0 version. I'm so glad I gave the upgrade a chance. They're weird looking, but so worth it. We're headed to Disney World next month and I know there's going to be a lot of walking and standing, but between the 2.0 version of these and a pair of FitFlops, I'm feeling pretty optimistic about my chances of surviving the long days! Definitely get the newer version.

This is my second pair of this brand of shoes. I bought this brand just because of the thick rubber sole and the curvature of it originally after healing myself of plantar fasciitis after I refused to think that the only option was surgery as the doctors were telling me. So, as I said, it took me 1.5 years after thorough research into the condition to heal myself and then Sketchers put out this brand of shoe.
I decided to try it since I worked then and still do on concrete floors. My first pair lasted 11 years and became a bit worn with the thick bottom sole still just only a bit worn down. That's how well made they were then. So, as they were becoming a bit raggedy, I thought it was time to get a new pair. I can still wear the old pair for anything around the house or hiking and such as they are not too bad, they are not torn or ripped up. I just needed a new pair for work.
It's worth the price and comfort to my feet and bad ankles to keep pain easily away every day.

This DID help with my heels from and felt comfortable at first when other shoes I would have been dying in pain standing all day... at first. But like many others it ended up leading to knee pain, ankle pain, and hip pain. Might feel ok at first but not sustainable long term for me.
