Pretty healthy for a cheap cat food
If you get the pate, it doesn't have "gravy" so it doesn't add flour and other carbs that cats are not meant to eat. My cat has lost a pound since we switched to this (he used to eat the Friskies fillets in gravy, which was much higher in carbohydrate).
Much more affordable than specialized "weight loss" or "just meat, no carbs" foods, but still seems to give a lot of the benefits. It does still list "rice" and the ever-ominous "meat byproducts" as ingredients, but if you can't afford fancy cat food it's probably one of the healthiest cheap foods you can feed your cat.

Cats did not enjoy this flavor.
Disclaimer: I DO believe the Friskies people are very concerned with cat health and nutrition - so this is not a review on the vitamin content or wholesomeness of the food itself. However, my cats almost refuse to eat it at all. I bought this because it was very inexpensive to feed some homeless cats I had fostered, even they dislike it. It was left in the bowl, growing a brown dry crust as it lay uneaten for hours. At night out of sheer starvation, the cats very unenthusiastically decided "Well, I guess 'this is it then...'". It was akin to what a starving man might consume cold, spoiled mashed potatoes from an opened tin out of the dump. I do not think I will risk buying this flavor again.

I buy this by the case to save over the price at my local Walmart, for my neighborhood semi-feral kitties that I have had spayed and neutered. We have 4 regulars and two visitors that are not ours, that just pass by from time to time! LOL. Economy is a big factor for us, since we have our own little family inside of three kitties, one dog and a love bird!! They all dine on top of the line gourmet style fare,so this has got to do for our out door kids!! They are happy with it, my only complaint is in the packaging (hence, the four stars) . I don't understand how they manage to have so many dented and scrunched cans in the cases! So far, none has damaged the food inside; just really bent! No damage at all on the shipping container! It's a packaging or warehouse problem.

FDA WARNING SUPREME SUPPER INVOLVED
I could not understand why my cat was vomiting whenever he ate a can of Supreme Supper, which used to be his fave.
Thinking there might be a recall, I checked on internet and found out the Purina, the parent company, has received a warning from the FDA concerning "SIGNIFICANT DEVIATIONS FROM THE LOW ACID CANNED FOOD REGULATIONS"
FDA also had concerns that the pet food has not been heated to safe temperatures---this means raw pet food with bacteria!
FDA also cited concerns that Purina's response had not been adequate, and had not cited specific ways they would enact corrective action.
This report is on the FDA website, and on a site called "Truth about Pet Food.com".
Since my cat usually loves this flavor, which was listed as a concern (no lot #'s because no actual recall), and now he is vomiting it up and boycotting it, I am assuming that BTA-MALL has become the dumping ground for IFFY product.
I advise against buying this.

What's with the turkey and giblets flavor?
I have fed this food for 25 years and my cats love it. In fact for one of my cats it's the only flavor she will eat. Every once in a while I'll bring home something new or try a different flavor of friskies, but she won't eat anything else. I just opened a new case the other day and when I fed it, she ran away from it like it's poison. Ordered another case, thinking maybe something was wrong with that case. Well, same thing, she runs away from it. The other two seem happy as usual with it. I called Purina to ask if they have changed the formula but they say they didn't. It does smell a little more fishy to me, but I'm not sure. Very frustrating.

Cat likes it... Vet doesn't...
My cat likes it. The Vet hates it. Good price. So, depending upon who you talk to and what you read, it sounds like Purina Friskies is not a high quality cat food. Supposedly they have additives that make your cat like/want/desire their food. Not sure if its true or not. We started using it because our cat was fed this at the breeder where we purchased our cat, and I didn't want to change foods on the cat. We also feed our cat a higher quality dry food; so if this was the only food we were feeding her, I'd get something that was higher quality.

Great Product - BE CAREFUL POP-TOP CAN IS RAZOR SHARP WHEN OPEN
This a great product in a terrific quantity for me to feed all the feral cats in my area. For convenience and price, I have received it for months now on a regular delivery schedule through my Subscription. I thought I should warn any customers out there that these pop-top cans are REALLY REALLY SHARP when opened. I know this from personal experience as I add this review with a bandaged hand. A Great Product - Great Price - Great Delivery - JUST BE CAREFUL OF THE RAZOR SHARP EDGES OF THE POP-TOP WHEN OPENED.

Can't Go Wrong With This Flavor
I've found that young cats and elderly ones have an easy time with this flavor. I've always added at least 2 tablespoons of water to the "pate" form of Friskies' food. It certainly doesn't diminish the flavor from what I can tell of the cats' dishes that are licked so clean I sometimes think they look better than when I wash the dishes.

Not as pictured (orange label) - Received old formula (all teal label) and cats wont touch it
I ordered from this particular listing because the image shows the new label (which indicates that it is the new recipe). However, the cans arrived and they were the old label/formula. As of early August 2017, they're not shipping what they're advertising in the photo. I've read on other sites that they claim there was not a recipe change, but my cats refuse to eat the old recipe that was shipped. I confirmed that the cans are not expired. Since I bought a pack of 24 cans, I kept offering the old recipe every day hoping they'd take to it - still no luck. The girl cat is picky so I don't think much of her refusals, but the boy cat usually eats whatever flavor I offer. The fact that he wont touch this stuff is what makes me think there's either a big difference between the old and new cans or the batch that I received was a bad batch.

All FOUR Cats Love It!
This is the only flavor and type of canned food our four cats will all eat. The texture and smell seem extra nice to me when compared to other pate flavors Friskies sells. I'm so glad I found it in bulk! It's a bit more expensive than I pay at the local store, but I rarely find this flavor. It's really hit-or-miss with finding any pate-type Little Friskies where we live, actually, so this is a God-send. Thank you, BTA-MALL!
