Nice, easy to use. Only wish it was a bit heavier and made of steel.
love this miter guide. nice to use on sides of your project to easily transfer the line around the top to the side. it's made of aluminum so it's a bit on the lighter side. but well marked and easy to read. i do wish it was made with steel or a heavier gauge aluminum due to the shape. but love that it has both the 90 and 45 degree angles, as it is a mitre.

its all metric. Seems like I would use it a lot, I keep trying to, but it just isn't working out for me.

Great 90 and 45 degree saddle and more.
was going to get a saddle, but saw this and thought it would be a better investment. I was right, its both a 90 and 45 saddle replacement, well made, good lettering, overall a great purchase. BTA-MALL makes it easy to get the things you need.

A good precision tool
Extremely well built, Typical Japanese craftsmanship. Would recommend this but it only gave it 4 stars which might be my mistake is that its all in metric.

Love it. It helps so much when laying out miters for picture frames. And works great for general layout. I wish I would have bought this sooner.

Precision made - light weight aluminum though. So if you plan to use this in construction or fabrication, you will have to be careful so you don't damage it. If you're kind to it, it's beautiful.

METRIC but still useful
You know, this does what it is supposed to, accurately marks 45 degree angles. Yes, it's METRIC, and that is disclosed in the description, but for simple angle marking for us SAE Americans, it does the trick.

This thing's awesome, maybe not for framing a house, but for joinery. Not too big, not too small. I keep finding new ways to use it. Even though it's metric I almost think they had SAE in mind when they designed it. The trick is in milling the wood down to 5/8x2 3/8, (I use the gauge while planing), then using this dimensional wood for your project. When you do this the inner "hole" of the 90 degree side of the gauge is just perfect for marking out a mortise and tendon without having to measure anything. When you add a pencil line to the 15mm it comes out to 5/8, works for me. Since most of the frame between inner and outer are based off 15mm and and the metric markings on the outside line up with the inside straight edges, finding center or if you want to lay out a double mortise - you can mark everything without moving the gauge. (One thing where metric works really well.) The 45 degree side is designed for making combo tendon/miters combo's easy. Just have to think about this thing as using the inner cutouts and outer edges together when using the proper sized dimensions. Absolutely every edge on this thing is useful if you size your wood. It marks out 45's and 90's well, too.
