Two previous pumps failed after approximately one (1) year. Here is a Fix.
The two previous pumps failed after approximately one (1) year,The retainer that holds the impeller in place splits and lets the impeller lockup against the pump housing. TotalPond WILL NOT sell one the retainer, but will sell you the entire pump unit less the motor plus shipping which amounts to approximately $16.
A easy repair is to purchase a packet of 3/8 inch external snap-rings and a snap-ring plier from Fastenal or other vendor.
Remove the pump housing from the motor by rotating the housing and mark the outboard position of the impeller when it is against the motor.
Remove the impeller and the plug in the motor and place a hacksaw blade to cut a shallow grove in the shaft where you marked.
Then reinstall the impeller and place the snap-ring in the groove. Reinstall the pump housing onto the motor.
You can then use your pump immediately without having to worry about another failure.
This repair is quick, easy and inexpensive.

Deceptive product description!!!
What I received was NOT the pump pictured - not even close! Although the description states that this pump is for use with 1/2" tubing, that is NOT the case! It requires 3/4" tubing! This pump was shipped with no receipt, no paperwork, no return/exchange information, etc. So, now I'm stuck with a pump I cannot use with my other pond equipment, and I've lost $60.

Great little pump for fountain
I have a large rock 3 feet over a basin and pump water through the rock's center as a fountain. This little pump is smaller the the one I had there that lasted about 4 years, but its the same strong magnet design (you can tell by how heavy it is). I did have to adapt the output (expected this) to my larger tube and had concerns if this pump could lift water 3-4 feet and fill a tube twice the output size while providing a fountain jet at the top for effect. No concerns any more. This pump did the trick, consumes less electricity than my previous pump, and has never clogged over the last year that I have been using it. Looking forward to many trouble-free years with this one.

I would never buy from this company again
I had the pump in my pond for a little over a month and it stopped working. It seemed to be frozen for no apparent reason.I sent it back to BTA-MALL .I used the mailing label supplied by BTA-MALL and was still charged a restocking fee of $11.14.After talking to BTA-MALL they agreed to forgo the restocking fee. I wuld never buy another pump from total pond if this is how they stand behind their product

One of many TotalPond pumps I have purchase for various uses and will do again
I've purchased several TotalPond pumps for different water features and reasons and have always been satisfied with how long they last. This provided exactly the pumping volume and presure I needed and I would not hesitate to buy another when needed.
I did call their service department for a question on time (can you lay it on it's side ... yes was the answer) and they responded very quickly so that was just another PLUS on their side.

Awesome pump, way better than a brick and mortar store model
Man, this thing is great. Totally beats on the standard pump I see at Home Depot or Lowes. You can take it apart and completely clean it out when it gets gross, and the adjustable flow works quite well. I use this for a small fish pond and it seems to be doing a great job. Bought some 1/2" tubing with it and it fit perfectly.

Pond Pump used to flush a tankless hot water heater
I purchased this pool pump to use in the annual flushing on my tankless hot water heater. I found a great YouTube video with excellent instructions and a pump with a similar GPH output was recommended. The video was great, the pump worked fine but I cannot speak to long term use as the process only took 90 minutes of run time....but something that should be done annually.

Good Pond Pump
This is a good pump for a fishpond. We have a pond that holds approximately 700 gallons, with a small waterfall & 2 "spitters", & this pump works just fine. Total Pond is a good brand & makes a lot of good products for fishponds. We also use their algaecide.

So far, so good.
Works great with clarifier. So far, so good. (TotalPond's pressurized filters suck, though, b/c they literally bust at the seams.)
