very satisfied ( BUT ) please read all
As a painter of 45 yrs I have used many graco high dollar pumps for work and many other brand`s , I sort of bought this unit along with another very expensive powerful unit as a toy just for kick`s to see what the modern world is up to these day`s , so I was doing my own home for fun and I was using behr marquee exterior flat paint , if you know about this material it is one of the thickest on the market it is an outstanding lasting paint , I thought for sure I was going to need thinning but I did not do it and went for it straight out of the gallon can , after you do the initial prep cleaning that is needed before you put paint in the machine , this thing can suck the chrome off of a trailer hitch ball , I sprayed 17 gallons over a 6 hour period and the pump did not fail me for one second and I did not even use a strain bag over the intake tube as I always do because I really did not care after only paying 200 bucks for this thing , I still cleaned it up as I always do with a 5 gallon bucket of hot water with a tiny spoon of lemon dish soap in it ran out the 5 gallons of water then a clean 2 gallon bucket of water then I put the pump armor thru her and I fell in love , my guy`s think I am crazy carrying this thing around with me every where like a six pack of soda, it weighs nothing , now here is my bad side of this review , I took another pump into my airless repair shop that most of southern calif uses for over 50 yrs they are outstanding and honest on all pump`s , I was talking about my new toy and how happy it made me as a painter he said oh boy watch out I have had a dozen or so of those come in and there is nothing I can do for them they are actually disposable , I said your kidding me , he was very serious and showed me a few that were in his recycle pile , they all had leaked paint out of the back of the machine from inside the plastic shroud and are not fixable , when you buy this unit you must register it the same day with graco do not hesitate before you touch it , just fill out the paper and send it in and the customer service at graco is out of this world they will simply send you another unit asap if you need it I say buy one for any job it will pay its self off just with the 50 dollar hose and the 125 dollar gun alone and the unit actually coast only as much as a good quality 5 gallon bucket of paint.

Excellent good value tool that produces professional results fast
I have had some terrible experiences with airless paint sprayers. I have tried 3 different previous products. One had a tank that was so heavy your arm got tired after a few minutes, another had such a small tank you barely got 5 minutes spraying between fills and all 3 were between mediocre and bad paint results. My heart sank when I saw the plethora of instructions that came with this tool but it turns out they are written to describe every little thing you need to do to set it up, break it down, clean it and lay it away long term. In fact it is easy to set up, use and breakdown. I tried it with different paints and it certainly produced excellent results with deck stain on a fence, exterior cement paint on a concrete wall and latex emulsion on indoor wood paneling.
Here are some great features.
1. You don't need to fill up anything or empty anything, it uses paint straight out of the 5 gal or 1 gallon can/drum.
2. It has a long delivery hose so you don't have to move the tool and paint container very often.
3. The nozzle can be set horizontal or vertical so you can choose to paint up and down or side to side whatever works best for the situation.
4. One of THE best features is the nozzle barrel arrangement. The spray nozzle is on a vertical circular barrel with an arrow handle on top. If you ever have a blockage you simply turn the arrow to the reverse direction, point somewhere that doesn't matter and pull the trigger once and the paint is forced the wrong way through the nozzle and clears the blockage. This makes for very fast clearance and very few stoppages. I should add the pump already has a strainer on the inlet hose and the gun has a micro-filter pre-nozzle but it is still a fantastic feature that puts this tool ahead of the competition.
5. Priming is easy and the pump only operates when output is demanded which reduces the noise and pump wear and tear.
6. The whole thing comes apart very easily for cleaning.
7. It is pretty economic with paint. It is the only tool I have used which gives good coverage and achieves the square footage on the paint labels with very little overspray and dust.
8. It is fast. With a 10-12" fan spray you can paint very large areas fast and being airless it is not affected greatly by slight wind outside.
The only reason I took off one star was the volume of paint it takes for set up and tear down. With 20ft of hose a big gun and all the suction tube and pump it probably wastes around half a pint every use. That is no big deal when you have both sides of 1,600 feet of 6ft high fencing to paint, but anything smaller than a large room you would need to take that into account. You can pour the paint from the pipes back into the can but there is a lot of cleanup involved. That said I found this tool fantastic, quick, easy to use and does a good job. I am very happy with it and would recommend it to others for both indoor and outdoor medium to large painting projects.

Cost effective, efficient, easy to use - perfect for large consumer projects
Before the Graco, I used to use a Wagner power roller because of all the poor reviews of consumer grade airless sprayers. After I acquired a 2100 square foot property that needed sorely needed painting from ceiling to wall, I reconsidered airless sprayers and gave the Graco a whirl. Here is what I found.
* To get immediately comfortable (and productive) with the sprayer, watch the included DVD several times. Some good stuff regarding technique and cleanup.
* It takes *very* little time to actually paint a standard room with the Graco. The time you must invest is in masking the areas that you do not want either painted or 'dusted' (atomized paint will drift and settle out on nearby surfaces - fairly easy to address but why not save the effort by throwing a sheet or tarp in place before spraying).
* After you have performed the process to prime the pump, spray the paint (and occasionally clear the spray tip) a couple of times, you will find that the setup and preparation to spray to be straight forward and with little worry. I was originally worried about how involved cleanup would be and I was very impressed that the cleanup process did not waste paint and could be completed within 20 minutes or so. Compare this with the power rollers which waste a lot of paint and take forever to clean the roller.

After buying a $120 sprayer a few years ago and dumping it at a garage sale for poor performance, I was skeptical reentering the market. But boy am I glad I did. This sprayer exceeded my expectations across the board. Set-up is easy enough, spray performance is exceptional, and clean up is surprisingly painless. I would highly, highly recommend, especially for outdoor projects where a bit of drift isn't a problem. But even indoors, with plastic covering sensitive surfaces, you could paint numerous rooms in a day. Very happy with my purchase.

i have used mine several times and it works as good or better than my high performance pumps
this is a handy tool for paint ceilings, closets, and doors. i have used mine several times and it works as good or better than my high performance pumps. i stupidly bought the warranty and cannot contact the provider. i think the sprayer is so well constructed that a warranty is a bad buy.

Wish I had bought this before I hand brushed stain on the entire garage last summer. Absolutely wonderful and easy to use. Prep and clean up takes twice as long as doing the actual painting. Lots of youtube videos by professional painters show how to setup and go, giving great tips and tricks. Buy it now!

Excellent Mid-Duty Sprayer
Purchased this to paint the interior of a 1,200 sq ft building using interior latex paint and primer. Originally wasn't sure about going with a sprayer but decided to give it a shot. The Graco worked like a charm. The instructions were very good and the quick start booklet with pictorials was fantastic (except that the purge valve looks different in the instructions). The sprayer itself is well built with quality fittings. We got the spray gun extension and it was well worth the extra $50 (did not come with a nozzle, had to use the one that came with the sprayer itself). We ran the paint through a strainer which really minimized clogging (we still got a few clogs) and added 32 oz of Penetrol to each 5 gallon paint bucket.
Painting: Immediately post painting it looked like the paint had waves but as it dried it dried very evenly. Much more evenly than if applied with a roller. We found that the trick was to hold the sprayer closer than we initially thought (12"-18" from wall) and make two slow passes before moving on to the next row. We only got 2 stoppages due to clogging and both were in the spray nozzle and easily remedied by removing the nozzle and a burst of water.
Cleanup: The sprayer is well designed and easy to cleanup. I would recommend having a spare bucket for water as we found that doing this before hooking the sprayer to a water hose helped. We also made sure to clean the nozzle and run the Graco Armor storage oil through the sprayer. Overall this was not nearly as bad as I had feared.
Value: Overall I'm very satisfied with this purchase and wish I had bought this for earlier projects. The ease of use and quality of spray make this an excellent value (assuming it remains reliable). It's not nearly as messy as I imagined it would be and requires minimal masking and tarping.
NOTE: Wear goggles and a respirator when spraying! The fine mist creates a cloud of paint which does not vent quickly.

When you receive this painter read the instructions fully!
It seems a little intimidating at first having to turn this and switch that and hook this and unhook that, but once you do it a few times its easy.
I painted my entire house (1500 sq. ft.) in a day and a half easily. I pumped from a 5 gallon bucket of paint. It does use alot of paint so be aware.
But soooooo much easier that a roller and brush. Its actually fun to use! Be sure to use the Pump Armour before storing.

Cant beat it.
My first project with it was about 15 gallons onto cmu, galvanized decking and steel sch40 bollards. This shot latex for a perfect, factory finish. It could not have looked any better. The spray speed was also better than expected, and the included tip worked great for this type of project.

Professional looking results
We have some rental property that needed a total interior repaint. I decided to do it myself and determined that I would spray paint the ceiling and walls since the carpet in most of the house is going to be replaced.
I recommend watching the video several times and also a practice pattern on cardboard or paper helps. Masking takes all of the time involved but once its done you can run right through the project.
It does a professional looking job and cleanup of the machine isnt too bad.
I did have a problem with the dial that controls the spray power. On the last room I painted it seemed to rotate back counter clock wise from the ideal setting requiring me to go back and turn the dial clockwise for more power. I havent used it since and havent looked at the troubleshooting guide for help so I am not sure if its defective or not.

Pretty awesome sprayer
Pretty awesome sprayer. We used it today to paint the outside of our house. Setting up is simple, cleaning up is simple, the only thing that was an issue was the sprayer cord was extremely stiff making it hard to maneuver around and the sprayer head doesn't swivel. Otherwise this thing saves a ton of time!

Great sprayer but don't lose the gasket.
Painted a large deck in a few hours. I dropped one star cause when I was about to use it the second time I was missing a little rubber gasket that presses a metal piece against the spray tip. The instructions should mention that care should be taken not to lose that part during cleaning. A trip to hd and 8 dollars later I was back in business.

Great Value, Easy To Use!!
Great airless painter. Used it for a couple of houses, therefore it has paid for itself already! Used it for heavy primer and for finish coats for the outside of two rentals. Easy to use, cost effective as it comes in the box, quiet, fairly powerful!

Seems like it is real finicky with the paint & keeps on getting clogged... Sometimes reverse works better than forward throttle... Make sure the paint is liquid enough & always soak the spray head I water fully submerged!!! Overall works good ... But very agrivating!!! 🙃😢

This product proved to be a very cost effective investment. The performance of the sprayer was very good overall...no clogging etc. The feed needs to be fully submerged which is a hassle when paint is running low.
