Keeps You Legal, but Maybe Not Safe
I returned these cushions due to less quality than I expected. While the cushions fill a Coast Guard requirement I don't feel that would be adequate in a real emergency and only partially adequate for day-to-day use as a cushion. While the material and fill seem OK, the straps are poorly attached, in my opinion, with just the barest of stitching to the cushion itself. I honestly think one good jerk on the strap would pull it from the material. Hopefully, I'll never need to use a cushion as a life-saving device, but if I do, it will be durable, well-made, and probably a lot more expensive than these. On the plus side, the vendor was very quick to provide return instructions and authorization...so kudos to them for that.

Meh...I returned them
If you only need a floatation device to make the coast guard happy then, by all means, get these. I, however, returned them because they didn't strike me as durable enough for my needs. I will be taking them out on a skiff in a lake while doing research (a lot of research and riding around) and they didn't seem like they'd last long. Plus, the foam inside is just 5-6 thin squares stacked on each other...really moves around.

Clearly not American, because these colors run.... The cushion stained our driver seat :(
Good quality cushion however, my wife sat on it while driving our boat and the red coloring from the cushion stained our driver seat. We will keep it but be warned!

Good product for the price
Having built a small boat for fishing in protected waters I wanted to have something to keep my butt from going numb these fit the bill nicely. The poly covering seems to be rip stop nylon and the inner core is several layers of foam. Some have complained that this is a draw back but for me I think it makes them more comfortable for sitting.
I have posted a video review on my YT channel and you can see it here...[...]

What can I say, it's a throwable for my boat, it was priced well and prime eligible. Haven't had to use it yes (finger crossed) but it will definitely be on my boat again next season and I prefer it to the tube throwables as you can use this as a cushion too if need be

Seems like it will do the job it's intended for...
I bought this for something other than what it's supposed to be for. I have a recumbent trike and thought I'd use it as a seat cushion. My mistake, as it is not soft at all. As a device to toss to someone in the water that needs help, it's probably perfect. For a soft seat cushion, not so much, but I took that risk when I ordered it knowing it's use is mainly as a boating safety device.

COMFY! For those of us plebian sailors on small sailboats (the ones that don't come w/seat cushions), we need comfy Type 4 PFD's. These work.

Nice life saver
Great floatation Putting it on our pontoon for Coast Guard requirements. Reasonably priced. Glad we bought it here compared to other places.

Good quality, makes a great seat cushion
Good quality, makes a great seat cushion. Haven't tried to rescue anyone with it but I'm pretty confident it'll do the job.
