Middle of the summer and the 1 and 2 fan ...
Middle of the summer and the 1 and 2 fan speed on my selector stopped working on my 2000 Silverado.
Although BTA-MALL had cheaper options, I opted for the genuine GM part as I did not want any issues.
Install was relatively simple.
Remove three panel screws, remove the panel, remove the two screws securing the resister and disconnect the wiring. Connect the wiring to the new resister. The connector is keyed so there should be no question as to how it plugs in.
This is where it gets a little tricky
I noticed that a number of reviewers gave this product 1 star claiming it did not fit.
It needs to be understood that although a direct replacement, this part is oriented slightly differently. You have to turn it around for it to fit and the screw holes to align properly.
Replacing the panel was a bit of a pain due to the screw over the transmission hump. There is very little room to work which made it hard to get the screw back in.
A trick you can use it to place the screw in a small socket which is connected to a 3-inch 1/4" socket extension . Using electrical tape or similar product, wrap a piece around the socket so that the edge of the tape is just past the end of the socket, Fold the tape over so it holds the screw in place. You can now get the screw up into the panel with it falling out of the socket.

Does fit a 2004 silverado, but you actuall need part#22807123 as you may need 4 ears for mounting, check your current unit b4
I had to return this, and it was my fault. For my 2004 silverado this part does work, but I needed the same part with the extra mounting tabs installed. I have to pay for return shipping.... $6. Which is why I gave is 3 stars.
***Please look at your unit first to see if you need just the 2 ear mounts or 4 ear mounts.***
The picture for this item is correct, it shows just 2 ears for mounting. The other part # is 22807123
I have attached a picture of my unit, note the 4 ears for mounting.

Yay I have heat again!
Well it is a Blower Motor Resistor so it gets 5 stars since it works lol. I put this in my 04.5 Duramax Silverado (Ex Cab) and fit right in since mine uses the 2 screws and not 4. You will need a 7mm and extension to remove the kick panel piece under your blower motor (2 7mm screws) then a small screw driver to remove the 2 electrical connectors, then 2 8mm screws hold this resistor in place. Use some Die electrical grease on the connections before you put it back together and you should be good to go!
Also if you are not sure if it is your resistor, 99.9999% of the time if your heat works on high and nothing else, then this should fix your problem.

Make sure you have the right one!!
If you have a 2004 Z66 Chevy Avalanche, do NOT buy this resistor. It is the wrong one regardless of what BTA-MALL's site says. You need the 22807123 version with four holes to mount this properly. That is the one I just finished installing, and it mounts just fine short of having to flip the plug around, which is no big deal. They tried to charge me for return shipping on the incorrect one, but refunded it after a second phone call.

Thought it failed, i was wrong.
I need to edit my review. I put this in my 2005 silverado and it only worked for a short time. I ordered another one, put in the new one and had the same problem. Turns out this device was just fine, and the wiring harness from the truck to this resistor was bad. When I replaced the wiring harness I solved my problem.
This resistor fit perfectly in my 2005 Silverado 1500 crew cab. It was easy to install and works well. All 5 fan speeds work now. This looked nearly identical to the original equipped resistor it replaced.

The new resister for the blower looks good and works good so far
The new resister for the blower looks good and works good so far, I haven't used the blower much yet sense I haven't driving my 2005 Silverado (manual Havc control) much sense I retired. The electrical hook up for the 7 wire plug receptacle was straight on the new part but on the original one its was at an angle but no big deal! I also had to replace the 7 wire harness because two of the terminals on the plug looked pretty bad, It was the (red) power wire & the (black) ground wire. So I bought a new wire harness that comes with the Elec plug also from BTA-MALL cost about $15 the dealer wanted over $100 for the same harness, now my math may not be the best but that's a big difference there, it also came with electric fittings to crimp but I solder the wires and left the wire harness the same length just as it came out off the box about 8" long, a little more wire I thought would be a plus, then I used heat shrink on each wire and wrapped all wires together with good electrical tape. I also pulled the blower motor out very easy and ran a couple wires to it from my battery just to make sure the motor wasn't bad too, just touch the wires for a second cause the motor will jump on startup unless somebody is holding it for you. The blower resister started going out when the blower speed #5 quit working and I let it go for a while and used the other 4 speeds but then it all quit working. The whole job was pretty easy! If you decide too crimp the wires cut the wires at different lengths as to stagger your crips so the wire harness isn't too big in one spot! I will include a few photos.

Clearly not the right part
The BTA-MALL site was absolutely certain that this fit a 2006 Chevy Silverado. It does not fit. There is a vague similarity but it is clearly not the same part as what is in the truck. The holes that mount this to the truck are not even close to the same positions as the one that came out. They are also turned at an odd angle. I let the return deadline get by so am stuck with this but it is absolutely not the one for my truck.

PUT IT IN BACKWARDS!
Bought it, pulled the old one out and the new one didn't fit. The original part had a larger printed wiring board that was mounted at an angle with the large connector on the right.
After looking at it and searching for one like the original, I discovered the replacement is designed to be mounted backwards and it fits and works perfect. The larger female connector on the original was on the left side and on the replacement it should be on the right side.
Two other tips, don't start until you have a 5.5 mm socket or wrench (thanks GM). Also, while you are down there, change the cabin air filter.

Perfect fit for 02 Tahoe front blower
Originally bought this for the rear blower in my 02 Tahoe. On the day of delivery the rear blower was working fine, but the front blower stopped working on the two lowest speeds. I decided to use it to get the front blower working again and it worked just as it should. The part that fits inside the duct did not look the same as the original, but all the plugs and the mounts were perfect. It got my fan back up and running at all five speeds.
I don't know if it will work on the rear blower still. I will have to order another for that.

Once again lack of information from BTA-MALL cause me to order the incorrect part and waste my time this is not come with the neither ...
Website indicated fits my vehicle however it does not.
I have a 2006 Chevy 2500 HD with automatic control setting.
Once again lack of information from BTA-MALL cause me to order the incorrect part and waste my time this is not come with the neither wiring harness to make the conversion nor is it for automatic systems.
