Has possibilites-needs improvement
I’m a retired engineer who is totally incontinent. I normally use a Cunningham clamp but because I have small bladder capacity, I tried this. I recently went on a 3 week overseas trip that required riding tour buses for sometimes 4 hours without a bathroom stop. I used this urinal for 90% of the trip and it helped a lot. Before the trip, I replaced the stiff clear plastic tube with a more flexible one from and old catheter bag. This tubing is also available from Lowes or Home Depot. I also lengthened it by about 2 inches to allow the bag to sit more comfortably below my knee. Each man would need to use a different length depending on his height. Several snaps needed to be tightened using pliers. At the beginning of the trip, I climbed over some seats and pulled the sheath connection loose. It only pulled loose because I jerked on it. Then I installed micro-cable ties on all 3 connections as recommended in another review and put tape over them. I had no further problem with the connections pulling loose. Of course, you need to be careful. Some reviewers have complained about “disasters”. Once the urine goes into the bag, you don’t need to worry about it because the bag has a 1 way valve. Excellent design. So worst case, if a connection got pulled loose, only the small amount of urine that was not in the bag yet would drain down your leg. Then you would need a bathroom to reattach it. The bag was large enough for 6+ hours before emptying was required. However, when I could, I emptied it to reduce the weight & slosh on my leg. The only problem I had after that was the condom type connection that the sheath makes with my penis. Putting it on the penis is not easy. First of all, it took a while to really understand the proper way it is designed to fit. The instructions were not very good. With the sheath snapped to the jock strap, the condom inside portion of the sheath needs to be pulled out through the jock hole. Then it needs to be rolled up as close to the jock as possible while stretching it to enlarge the diameter. The penis is then inserted into the condom & the condom unrolled onto the penis. The condom forms a seal around the penis just like a regular condom. This can be done but it’s not easy. For the women that asked about installing this onto their husbands, I say “Very difficult!” Unless the guy is well endowed, he needs to worry about his penis going limp while wearing this and slipping out. I had this happen several times. However, I also wore it 8-9 hours sometimes without it slipping out too. Some reviewers give up too easily. Overall, I think it is a good design that needs condom improvement & a more flexible tube.

I am very disappointed with this device. It is next to impossible to get on. I succeeded in getting it on only once after numerous tries and that time was unsatisfactory. I ended up throwing it in tha garbage because, understandibly, it is unreturnable.

Waistband size options needed.
The waistband was too small for my husband. Waist sizes should be an option with a size chart to choose from. If not, then make it adjustable to fit.
So, now I'm going to have to retrofit it for him. Also, would like to have an a longer tubing from the collection bag to hang it on the side of the bed for night time use. Maybe I missed the waistband size choices when I ordered, but I don't remember there being a choice. I will go back and look.

Difficult to use
Never used; sent to Mexico; seemed very cumbersome. If it could have been returned it would have. Old-fashioned.

Also rubber straps on bag have to be on top of your socks otherwise you will get a bad burn on your skin
Took some getting use to it. Kind of awkward when sitting and driving. need to tape up connections as they will pull loose. Also rubber straps on bag have to be on top of your socks otherwise you will get a bad burn on your skin. That condom looking bag sure makes noise when walking. Otherwise it sure eliminated a lot of stops for bathroom use.
