One of the BEST purchases I have made for our daughter
I was extremely hesitant about purchasing this for my daughter due to the price, but it was the ONLY item she wanted for Christmas, so we decided to splurge.
The castle its self is a light weight plastic and seems to be holding up well (we have had it for about 6 months now). The accessories however have all fallen apart and are not good for playing with daily. The tables cant keep their legs on. Etc. I have been gluing them together to try and salvage them. While this is not a huge deal, for the price I expected them to be better quality.
My daughter (3 at Christmas, now 4) plays with her castle almost daily. It fits both regular Barbies as well as the princess dolls. We LOVE the castle because it is of course a CASTLE rather than just a house, the princess dolls that go along with it are gorgeous (purchased separately) and of course...since she has seen all the movies it provides a basis for imaginary play. In addition, building her princess collection is an easy gift idea for friends and relatives at Christmas and birthdays.
Side note: The Castle does come with some TINY pieces. such as plates/cups/fork/spoons etc for the princesses to use. I would suggest gluing these to the table or putting them up if you have other small children in your home. They are a serious choking hazard. We super glued them to the table so the table is always set, glued Pascal to Rapunzel's tower etc and it is an added touch. :) I added them all while my daughter was sleeping and she was thrilled with the extra details.

Girls will love, parents may not
Ill start with the most important positive. My daughter loved it. Very bright, girly colors with lots to look at and do. The castle is huge and fairly sturdy. It took me and my husband about 45 minutes to put it all together and set it up. The whole thing is plastic with a few preinstalled cardboard pieces. The background stickers are already on and coordination with several of the most popular Disney princesses. The "Tangled" elevator has worked so far and is a cute addition.
Now the negatives....LITTLE PIECES. I have younger children that cannot go anywhere near this because some of the pieces are ridiculously small. Even if u don't have kids under 3, you will either be vacuuming up or stepping on extremely small forks, knives, cups, and dishes. There are some slightly less small, but easily lost pieces, such as eggs, Cinderella's mouse, and Rupunzel's iguana, and perfume. I just hate little tiny things, if u don't than younmay not find this part problematic. The most annoying part to me was the poor construction of some of the furniture. The bed was wobbly along with Cinderella's chair. Only two legs on both of these items will touch the ground at the same time. The tub's shower head holder does not function and the shower head and tube just kind of flop outside of the tub and broke within a few minutes of playing with it. The directions for assembly are minimally helpful. Now, we got it figured out, but it would have been a much smoother process if the directions were a bit more detailed and didn't skip over steps. The entrance door is a bit difficult to open and close and the shiny mirror in sleeping beauty's area came creased.
Now, I paid 110 including free shipping to my door for this product and it was what my daughter had asked for specifically (thank u pre Christmas commercials). I feel that BTA-MALL's price is about right for this product, I have seen it in store for close to $200 and that's WAY too much. If your daughter is just asking for a dollhouse I would go with something a bit higher quality. But for the price, it is not a a bad toy.

This was the number one present my daughters wanted for Christmas. I think they were a bit disappointed with it because the advertisements made it look much cooler. It is very large so you need to have a dedicated spot in your house for it. It does not really fold up or anything for storage.
Large size bright colors exciting looking
Fun theme for a doll house
Kind of well built for a plastic toy
Brutal to put together - get ready to spend 45 minutes plus of mind numbing work
The accessories that come with it are little pieces of junk, not fun for the kids to play with, just mass produces plastic stamped out by the tens of thousands overseas I imagine.
Elevator feature, which was the big draw point for the girls, not very functional. You need to use the exact right doll on it or else it falls of or spins and hits the side of the castle. Gets stuck a lot and hard to reset properly so it dosent just spiral back down on its own.
Kids of cheap looking for how expensive it is.
Overall not a great buy but it's something to do other than watching tv or fighting with each other all day. I don't really recommend this castle. Maybe try another one.

just what the kids wanted!
this was a success in making the kiddos super happy for Christmas. my oldest daughter almost cried when her and her sisters opened this (and the other present was the Disney Princess 11count doll set). This thing is pretty huge! A lil flimsy but hold together good. One of the purple top things had the heart top broken off of it but a lil super glue and it was fixed just fine! They all ready lost the silverware (but that was expected, those things are tiny!!! i mean SUPER TINY) and the mouse toy that comes with it head fell off but just a lil more super glue and she was good as new lol but i'm sure it had something to do with my 2 year old tearing (or biting) it off.. anyway i would recommend anyone with a lil girl who loves Disney Princess to buy this. i got it when it was on sale for 120 bucks so i personally don't think it's worth more than that, especially if you talking tax AND shipping/handling costs. so if you can cope this for 120 or less i say go for it!

Any princess lovers dream
My daughter is 4 & had been asking Santa for this, so he got for her for Christmas & she was ecstatic! I did plenty of research, since it's not a cheap gift & amazon's price was great! The castle is huge & comes with a lot of nice accessories (does not come with any princess dolls). There is also a free ipad/iphone app for the castle that lets you do some extra things with the castle which is a cool extra feature. My daughter could not be happier with it & I think it's adorable! I didn't do 5 stars because while it has to be put together, ( & my husband is good with that stuff), but found this to have so many pieces that it took a while to put together. And my 2 year old can actually take some of the pieces apart. Otherwise, great!

Favorite Holiday Gift!
My daughter received this as a Christmas gift. It was relatively easy to put together and she absolutely loves it. It is a very big castle and she loves that her princesses can each go in their own rooms. She also loves the hair elevator. I am glad that there is a clip on it that holds the dolls around their waists so they stay on while the princesses go up and down. The accessories are very tiny- I can see us losing the little forks, knives and spoons. It seems durable and I am sure my daughter will enjoy playing with it for a long time! I also got a great deal on it from amazon with free shipping and paid far less for it than what I saw it for in the stores- so I am very happy with it!

Overall this is a great house. The only flaw is that the hair twirly thing does not stay together on the bottom. It has taken me over 3 years to type this review and the house is still going strong and still in one piece.

Loved by the Little Princess
We got this at a great price here on amazon for my little princess for Christmas. It took this pregnant mom about an hour to put together on my own. She came down Christmas morning and saw the turrets over the back of the sofa and yelled "OH MY GOSH IT'S THE DREAM CASTLE!" She loves it so much. It took us several minutes to guide her over to her wrapped gifts, and the castle is what she talked about all day. She loves everything about it and is very engaged when playing with it.
As a parent, I am slightly disappointed that it's not a little sturdier. I don't purchase kids' toys with high expectations, but something this big and this expensive should be more solid. It's not falling apart or anything, but I don't think it would take too much. Also, it takes up a TON of space. We can't figure out where to keep it since it's not the kind of thing you can just slide in and out of a closet and we don't have a dedicated play room.
All in all, I'm glad we got it, because my daughter LOVES it.

Just what we wanted, easy to put togther.
I wanted to get this for my 3 year old daughter for Christmas. We also have a 16 month old daughter as well that plays with everything her older sister plays with. After looking at the different castles and reading some of the reviews I picked this one due to the mostly positive things said. My husband I put it together Christmas eve so When she came down stairs it was standing there in all it's glory. SHE LOVES IT!!!!!!!!!!!! It was really easy to put together. I think it took the two of us about 15 minutes. There are some very small parts to it that I have put up and they will not get to play with until my younger daughter is old enough to play with them and not eat them. I really can't begin to tell you how excited "O" was when she saw it. We set up some of her princess Barbie dolls in the castle, both girls started playing with it before doing anything else. We had to pry both of them away to open presents.

Bought this for my niece. She absolutely loves it. I bought this for her 5th Birthday and it's one of her favorite toys. It does require some assembly but was pretty easy and fast to setup.
