It really sucks... in a good way! :-) Highly recommend! I love it!!!
WOW. I am so happy that I got this vacuum after doing a lot of research and reading a lot of reviews.
I am attaching lots of pictures of this Hard Floor canister vacuum so that you'll see the wonderful features it has to offer.
First of all, I didn't read the product specs when I bought it, and I discovered them as I was taking the vacuum and its parts out of the box. I expected a regular canister vacuum, nothing fancy. One thing that caught my eyes was the 2 AAA batteries. I have never had a vacuum that uses batteries. So I read the quick 3 step instructions on putting the batteries in the handle which has a built in remote that allows the user to control the amount of suction and to temporary turn off and on the vacuum. Impressive!! In order to use the remote in the handle, you will need to first turn the vacuum on by pressing the ON button on the canister. Then you can adjust the suction and turn the vacuum off/on using the remote in the handle. When you press the ON/OFF button in the remote to turn it off, you'll noticed that a light going back and forth on the canister, indicating that the vacuum is on, but in like a pause mode. This is the same light used to indicate the suction setting.
Another thing that I really like is the canister for the dirt/dust. I thought it was going to use a disposable bag or one of those canisters that require me to scrap the dust off the filter in the canister, which is very messy. Well, this one is very well designed, and the dirt/dust is trapped in one side of the canister, and once the door opens, I can easily dump the dirt into the trashcan without having to touch the dirt, and no dirty filter to scrub either. Very nice!
The first thing I noticed during set up is that the parts can be attached and unattached very easily. It is so user friendly. I don't have to push and pull the parts part. They click into place, and by pushing the button on the side, the parts can be slide apart with little effort. When I turn the vacuum on, WOW... so quiet! It makes me naturally handle the vacuum more gently. I turned the suction setting up to a 5. I can feel the suction on my hard wood floor, sucking up the dirt/dust/fur.
I used the carpet part to vacuum the rug, and it seemed to do a pretty good job. I don't have any carpet in my house to really test it out. I used the hand tool with the brush to vacuum the runner on the staircase, and WOW, it sucks up all the pet fur with little effort. I have 3 cats and 1 little dog, and they shed a lot. I am really thankful that I found this vacuum, because it really sucks up all the fur, and my house looks and feels so clean.
Although I have only used it once and only vacuumed 2 of the 3 floors and 1 of the 2 flights of staircase, I am amazed by how much this vacuum sucked up. Not sure where it found all the fur! LOL
I hope this vacuum will hold up. I'll update this review if I ran into any problems. Until then... I am so happy with this vacuum, and the price is so reasonable for the performance I'm getting. No, I can get rid of the old canister and the new handvac that is underperforming.

I used this vacuum like you wouldn't believe
After reviewing information about multiple vacuums online, I purchased this on clearance at a department store even though I wasn't sure this was the one I wanted. We have only throw rugs and carpet on our stairs. The rest of the house is linoleum, hard wood, wood laminate and painted cement floors in the basement.
I was only using a stick vac for the past 6 years until we came down with a flea problem. I bought this to try to get it under control. After flea bombing the house, I did a thorough cleaning from top to bottom, every room, every surface. I used this vacuum like you wouldn't believe.
It is wonderful on hard floors, low carpet and upholstery. I use the rolling brush attachment for the hard wood and the laminate. Then I used the carpet attachment on hard floor setting for the linoleum and cement. The carpet attachment works great on my throw rugs that can't go in the washer. I think the dirt cup is ok size, I didn't mind emptying it often. The cord could have been slightly longer, but again, I didn't mind moving it around. I love the swivel function of the heads and that I can get under and around everything with relative ease. I also used it on my walls. I picked up lots of debris, it didn't like some things, coins, heavier or larger pieces of anything, but does any vacuum like them except maybe a shop vac? I really like that I can adjust the suction up or down. When I used around my curtains, I could turn it down so it didn't suck in the whole curtain, or turned it up to make sure I got everything under the baseboards, etc.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this to someone that has all hard floors and maybe some low pile rugs. It does the job that I needed it to and I used it almost constantly for 3 days.
Pros: Worked great on all types of hard floors. Moves easily, swivels nicely for getting under everything. Suction is good. Very easy to empty and clean filters. Can turn off the power on the handle to stop and move furniture or change heads.
Cons: Could have a slightly longer cord (not a big deal).

Happy with this vac
Had this for a few months now. It does a great job on my laminate and on vinyl in the kitchen. It gets all the pet hair, crumbs, and dirt without fail. Powerful suction. All the attachments fit properly with a tight seal. The carpet attachment is great for my rugs though I haven't tried it on the carpeted rooms in my house - that might take forever since there is no roller brush on that part. I use the regular vac for that anyway. This vac has a somewhat small trap and the filter and rollers need regular attention but the design of the vacuum makes these tasks easy to accomplish. I check everything before I start and it takes about 2 minutes.
Two complaints - one is that the cord is fairly short so I have to change outlets three times to do my open-floor common areas. Not a big deal. The second complaint is that the exhaust air comes out the back rather than the top. Being that this is used on hard floors, I have to carry it around so I don't blow dirt and pet hair all over the room making the job harder. This is a little bigger deal. I'm no vacuum designer but a top exhaust would solve this seemingly common problem among vacuums. This thing is fairly lightweight so it's not a deal breaker.
Otherwise, quite happy with it.

Does the job
I just got this vacuum today and had to try it immediately. My first impression is that the cord is very short. I had to unplug it several times and move the plug to reach other areas. The vacuum is very small lightweight and easy to handle. It gets in tight spaces and has different suction power levels. However it did not pick up bigger solid debris very well. The rubber grip is a little rough on my hands so you have to grip it lightly. It definitely picked up all of the dirt and debris on my hardwood floors. It was really good against corners and against the wall. The retractable cord is very useful and has powerful retracting. It took me a while to get a handle on twisting the tube to get under furniture's but it works good under furniture. I have long hair and just like most vacuums my hair got caught in the brushes and now I have to remove the brush to get the hair out and it does not look easy to do that. Overall I am happy with the vacuum it's lightweight and gets the job done. I vacuumed the majority of the house in no time at all it is way easier than sweeping. I haven't tried the carpet yet but that's next. The carpet accessory doesn't have a rotating brush so I don't know how powerful it's going to be. The value is good for the money. This vacuum had good reviews in most places I researched that's why I bought it.

Great on hard floors, works on carpet too
This is a small footprint canister vac that specializes in hard floors but can also do carpets. It comes with a hard floor head that can also go on carpets, a carpet brush that you can switch for hard floors, a dusting tool, and a crevice tool.
WHAT I LOVE:
+ Once the power is on on the base, you can switch it on and off on the handle. I love this, because I frequently have to do a quick switch-off to change heads, move sports equipment, etc.
+ You can also adjust the suction on the handle, though in my animal-and-teen-filled house, I can't conceive of a time I wouldn't use max suction.
+ Non-marking wheels, good for laminate floors
+ Hard-floor head has great suction and is AWESOME at 'dusting' your hard floors and picking up all the dust/bunnies/dirt too. Way better than just pushing dust around with a swiffer.
+ Hard-floor head can also go on carpets because the soft brush retracts when it's not on hard floors. This is great for vacuuming rugs you may have scattered around. Changing heads would be such a hassle. The suction here is fine for low-pile rugs, though you should probably change to the carpet-head for deep pile.
+ There is also a carpet-head that can switch to hard floors. (I don't actually understand why you need a hard-floor head that does carpets and a carpet-head that does hard floors....) I don't use this because when I want to do my carpeted levels I use a regular vacuum and when I want to do the hard floors I use the specialty tool, but you may want to use it and not have 2 vacuums around.
+ Normally I have a love-hate relationship with canister vacs... they do allow you to get into smaller spots, but they also trail behind you bumping into things and getting trapped and aggravating you. This one is more maneuverable than most.
+ It's light
WHAT I DON'T LIKE:
- There is a carry handle and the vacuum is light, but the handle is so shallow that I feel I am balancing the vacuum on my fingertips.
FABULOUS on hard floors, workable on carpets

Have used this for almost 2 years on our wood floors and we love it! Picks up well and is very quiet with the loudest sound besides the floor brush is the airflow noise. Never hear the motor even though the suction is terrific. Some have questioned the durability but ours even survived a fall down a flight of wooden stairs. Not really designed for carpet and that shows but we now have all wood to deal with.

It does a beautiful job on my hardwood floors
What an improvement over my old Dyson. I just had hardwood floors installed in my whole house and this machine is so powerful I have to adjust the suction down from high (5) to the lowest (1). It does a beautiful job on my hardwood floors. I had read that a brushless machine was best, but the bristles are so soft they do not leave any marks on my floors. I also have tile floors in the bathrooms and it works just as well. I foster cats and kittens so I have lots of litter and kibble scattered around and the Bissell sucks it up in one sweep. I also like the simplicity of this machine. I had previously ordered a Shark Rotator and it was too complicated and too heavy for what I was looking for. This machine has very few extra parts and it's simple to operate and move around the house. My only complaint would be that the power cord is way too short, but I just added an extension cord and now I can pretty much vacuum the whole house (about 1800 sq. ft.) in one sweep.

Great vacuum for hardwood floors
Overall I'm very pleased with the vacuum and it is priced right. The only downside is the cord is a bit short and I'm not sure how I feel about having batteries for a vacuum, would be nice if it was hardwired for future models.
-Not too noisy
-Perfect amount of accessories
-Does not scratch flooring
Cord is too short.
Update: Vacuum still works great and I still have the original batteries. Once in a while you will need to clean out the filters because of poor suction which is nothing unusual. I don't replace the filters just blow them out with the air compressor. One small nuisance is if the vacuum falls over the battery cover will pop out and you will be chasing the batteries. I'm not knocking off any stars as it works great for the price but If I could change one thing it would still be the cords length.

I love that its light and moves around behind me easily and that it has amazing suction on the floor and my area carpets. It has attachments for curtains, window sills, etc. The amount of suction can be adjusted for when you are vacuuming fabrics or other more delicate things and it has two floor heads! The light and soft head made for hard floors won't scratch your wood but has great power and reaches right to the very edges of the room and easily under furniture. The other head can be adjusted for bare floor or carpet. There is no carpet beater-bar but the suction is sufficient for lower pile rugs. I also love how easy the attachments pop on and off with the click of a button. Its the easiest of any vacuum I've ever had, including and especially, my expensive Central Vac. The same applies to emptying it. The front cover pops off easily and the inside comes straight out and with the push of a button, you can empty the container. Its exactly what I was looking for.

has the perfect accessories you need
I recently moved into a new place that has faux wood floors. Nonetheless this is a first for me as I've always had tile or carpet. It's almost as if my floors CREATE DUST ALL DAY EVERY DAY! I couldn't stay ahead of it!!!!
I did some online research & this vacuum was specifically made for wood floors.....NOT A LIE!!!! This vacuum IS LIFE!!!! OMG! It's light weight, GETS EVERY SINGLE INCH OF DUST, has the perfect accessories you need, is compact & even comes with an accessory for carpet (for my lil house rugs). Please note the carpet accessory is NOT for real true cleaning of carpet, but if you have little accent rugs it works. Anyways, if you are having a dust problem 100% BUY THIS VACUUM!!!!!
