This material is more like the covering of an umbrella
Just got this. Excited to find a company that manufactures replacement canopies. I only found out after I got this that they make a stronger fabric version now - although it's $20 more. As they note, the material is different than the original sold at Walmart (these are no longer sold). The color is beige, which is what the original terra cotta color turned to after being in sun. More importantly, the original was a mix of fabric and vinyl. This material is more like the covering of an umbrella, which may be better. While the label stats that it already has some UV coating and water resistant coating, Garden Winds recommends adding your own.
I purchased BTA-MALL's Nikwax Tent & Gear Solar Proof Waterproofing 500ml to spray before attaching the canopy. This not only adds water repellent (not "resistant", repels!) but also from reviews adds real UV protection, so no fading or weakening of the material.

Looks good - not needed yet - see advice
Actually, I haven't needed to deploy this yet, so I've given it the benefit of the doubt. I bought it to replace the original canopy, which had sagged after heavy rain had pooled in it. I've kept the old canopy, but given it more support on four extra ribs made from PVC cable protection strip (see photo) secured at the ends with cable ties. This arrangement shrugged off some heavy rain last week. I'm going to see if the old canopy will overwinter, since it's in a sheltered spot.

Looks good out of the gate
Looks good out of the gate, but stretches and holds pockets of water if it rains hard. It's more the fault of the frame design than the cover. Had a friend suggest using chicken wire underneath as a support. Will probably try that in an effort to keep this product looking good for as long as possible. Nothing wrong with the product (would purchase again), bad frame design.

Fit awesome until we had a rain shower
Fit awesome until we had a rain shower. Water pooled and now cloth sags . They say to remove when it rains I think, but who has the time to do it anytime there is a rainfall? Wish it was a little tighter and more durable fabric so it doesn't sag. Any suggestions??

... reason I give this one star is because I like the color and how it looks in the sun
Only reason I give this one star is because I like the color and how it looks in the sun. Otherwise, it is a complete failure in the rain. Holds water like a cesspool. I even put four 1x2" slats across the top like I did the original, to take out the slack, but it does not work. The original with the slats worked well, but after five years it just dry rotted.
Using the 1x2 slats either flat or on edge does not make a difference. Tried various positions but cannot keep the water from making major pools. Waste of $80 and I DO NOT RECOMMEND...

Good cover but holds rain
Fit well and easy to out on. Seems to be made a bit better than the original one. The general problem with the structure is that is captures and holds water after every rain and therefore stains the top. I don't think this is the fault of the cover, but more the actual structure of the framing itself. It would be better suited with a rigid top.

Not exactly like the other top
Not exactly like the other top, but I hope it will hold up better. Cost almost as much as the canopy itself. I do not look forward to putting grommets in it to release the rain water that builds up.

Better mouse trap...
Actually, this replacement cover was better than the original. It has more tie down tabs and lighter weight fabric.
