This is a great camera!
5 Stars way up for this item. The frame is solid built no flex and appears to be well coated in black paint. The camera housing itself is as rugged as well as thoughful consideration given regarding the wire placement from the housing - not likely to get water infiltration.
The wiring itself was ample for my '04 Sequioa; install will be quick and easy for a person capable of installing a basic car stereo system.
I've read some people complain regarding the image quality; I'm uncertain what the problem is they have experienced. In my case, I removed the blue protective film from the lens after the install was complete and wow - it looks as good as the oem camera on my parents' Highlander. Not HD 4K quality, but plenty good to see what is going on behind the vehicle. The color is well balanced at least on my head unit (JVC) and the night vision is phenomenal. The previous camera I bought from a big box store did not have night vision so I replaced my back up lights with LED to help it out; still wasn't great. This camera is excellent in the dark - maybe my LED's help out with it ?
Down sides: Honestly cannot think of any. At its selling price it's a true value especially if new to back up cameras and tow trailers or campers - it makes backing up to the hitch effortless.

Great price for an awesome camera. The frame is metal and super rigid so no worries about longevity. Camera quality is equal to if not better than factory installed cameras.

I'm really satisfied with this camera, fits perfect with my plate, the best part is the screws that it has, because this allows that you can put the camera on the position that you want and you can avoid for mistake move the camera, for example when I go to the car wash. The frame is made with good quality.

Nice, accurate grid lines, Adjustable. Recommended.
Excellent camera. Have been using this for a few weeks on my Honda accord 2007.
+ Mounted myself. Very easy. 5 min job, no tools required
+ Nice and very accurate grid lines.
+ Works well in low light conditions.
+ Good angle, field of view. No comparative data, but does what it needs to.
+ Height and angle (far Vs. near) adjustable through a set of screws.
+ In general, I believe license plate cameras are a better choice, since these are easier to mount, as long as the car has a hole to get the cabling in (typically through the license plate lights).
Issues: None so far. Haven't used it in winter, foggy and moist conditions (yet).

Great Picture and Simple to Install
Just got done installing this on a 2009 Jeep Liberty, Seems like a very solid camera that should withstand the elements. It's a pretty straightforward installation.
The Jeep already had two notches in the bottom of the license plate brow so I ran the wire through one of them and passed it through the opening for the lift gate handle. I decided to use a wireless transmitter to save some time running wire and was able to tuck the transmitter in to one of the many openings in the lift gate.
The picture is actually really clear during full light and also clear in total darkness. See the attached pictures for samples. The distance lines are a plus and I used the closest (red) line as my 6" mark. The view I get extends beyond both sides of the vehicle. Aiming the camera is pretty simple thanks to the tension screws being on the bottom of the camera. Also, once mounted the frame and camera just barely cover the top portion of your license plate. Depending on your registered state you may have the name of the state at the top of your license plate and if it is covered (even partially) by this camera then you may be stopped for it. Just to give a heads up.
Overall, this seems like a good product and I will update my review after a few months of use.

Easy installation - clear, concise instructions and wiring diagrams - Works as advertised
I installed an Esky 170° Viewing Angle Universal Car License Plate Frame Mount Rear View Camera, 8 IR LED in conjunction with Esky® Foldable 4.3 Inch Color LCD TFT Rearview Monitor Screen for Car Backup Camera on my Chevy Avalanche.
Both products are sold by Hisgadget Inc and fulfilled by BTA-MALL. Delivery was prompt 2 days with amazon prime.
I consider myself a reasonably handy person. Installation was relatively easy. The directions provided along with the wiring diagrams on the amazon product page were clear, concise and self-explanatory. Installation of the license plate camera took 10 minutes; installation of the screen took about 10 minutes. The longest and most tedious part of the install was guiding the 20 ft video cable from the license plate to the front of the cab. This took almost an hour.
I am very pleased with the results. (please see images). A neighbor saw me installing these units and came back to see the finished product. He said that he paid a car audio shop $500 for his install and he said my image was just as good as his. The two components from Hisgadget Inc cost a total of $78 and approximately 90 minutes of my time for similar results. I strongly recommend both these products.

Three ordered, three approved.
Having three of these installed on my vehicles at my house, I could say that I am quite content with the camera. The IR capabilities helps out with minimal light and the quality of the daytime camera was better than I expected. I dont plan on installing anymore, but if I had to I would definatly order another. Great price and shipping time.

Great camera, I returned another brand after having issues. This one has simple wire. Connections and a slim end to the wire so it can be ran through tight spaces before making the connection near the brake light. The picture quality is real nice and even with all the snow and salt I haven't had to wipe it clean to see. It's a solid build which I like and the camera being built into the frame keeps it from being bumped or nudged over when going in and out of the trunk. I recommend this over the others.

This was very easy to install
I replaced a cheap 10$ license plate with this one based solely on the reviews. I would have to say this one blows the past one away, as well as ones I have had on my other trucks. I have this hooked up to my in-dash Pioneer and have it so I can always see what is behind me, not just so it comes on in reverse. This was very easy to install, look on youtube if you are unsure. The picture is very good even at night, it makes it look like it is day out, where as my old ones looked like a night vision camera. The 170 degree viewing makes it nice when angled just right that I can see my whole travel trailer and hitch while driving. This camera can't be beat for the price.

Buying this? Good Choice!
I was impressed by the ruggedness and simplicity of the unit on opening the box. I had the local Best Buy guy (a true installation wizard) install it on my Toyota Highlander's lift gate license plate bracket. All went well (it looks like a factory install) and though the image quality isn't of the very highest order the unit works perfectly fine for it's intended purpose. After all, we're not making movies here, just trying to back up safely. It is easily adjustable, enabling you to adjust the distance warning grid to your own preferences. I would recommend this unit to anyone who could be satisfied with an economical, rugged, inconspicuous and fully functional, though not top line, answer to their blind-back-up problem.
