Nice glasses... deceptive claims.
Very nice glasses. Small and easy to use. The only reason these did not get more stars is the INCREDIBLY misleading packaging. On the box is a message "FREE Replacement Glasses Forever" and on the case is a note "Activate your Free Replacement Glasses forever..." (see picture) unfortunately this is only an extension of the basic 90 day warrantee again defects as it specifically states:
"This Warranty does not apply: (a) to damage caused by use with another product; (b) to damage caused by accident, abuse or misuse, including, but not limited to, scratches and broken lenses; or (c) to defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the Product."
Not much of a free replacement claim. Very misleading!!

Be realistic in your expectations with these glasses, they are complementary to "armed" glasses not replacements.
You have to be realistic in your expectations with these glasses, they are complementary to "armed" glasses not replacements.
1. These are so easy to take with you as the glasses and case are barely larger than a credit card and they are flexible.
2. Where armed glasses are impractical or inconvenient these can be the solution as long as they will stay on your nose.
3. They look stylish or at least they are innocuous.
4. So light there is no fatigue
5. No arms to cause irritation.
6. Their durability is a function of their extremely light weight. I have dropped mine many times and while they have developed scratches the glasses still function.
7. Very quick and easy to put them on and take them off.
8. No nose sliding and pushing back into place.
1. While these are surprising in their tenacity they will fall off if you are moving around, make sudden head movements or do anything that causes your nose to wrinkle e.g. sneezing, coughing, laughing or yawning.
2. When they fall off there is not much warning.
3. I haven't mastered putting them on the way I want them the first time so I need to adjust them a few times.
4. The level of moisturizer or oil on your nose will affect the grip of the glasses so try giving your nose bridge a wipe with a tissue or paper towel to reduce that affect.
The most satisfying place I have used ThinOptics to replace armed glasses is when I am in bed reading or watching my tablet. They become invisible because there is no intrusion of any kind, no ear irritation from arms, no visible frame when I get them set right, no fatigue and they stay in place.
I am satisfied with these however it is important to understand they will not replace armed glasses.

Good idea...poor manufacturing
I was a believer in these glasses, but I already have had 2 pairs break at the bridge after a short time and with minimal use.

and really loved the convenience of it and the ability of the ...
I purchased this item one month ago, and really loved the convenience of it and the ability of the glasses to fit snugly and stay put on the nose. Based on that alone I would rate the glasses as excellent.
However, the first shortcoming that I encountered was that if one is not careful when returning the glasses to the case the spring loaded nose pads get caught in the case (because the case is understandably very thin) and bend. Since I need glasses to read, it is difficult to determine if I am sliding the glasses into the case properly in order to avoid that eventuality. On a positive note, when bent in this manner the nose pads do easily bend back into place.
Alas, after only one month the glasses broke while in the case with the cell phone in my front pocket. I was not doing anything unusual, just walking. There is a metal connecting wire molded into the plastic that holds the two pieces of glass together at the nose bridge. The plastic on the right side broke off and the glasses essentially fell apart. They cannot be repaired. Therefore, I can only rate them at 2 stars when taking all factors into account, and would not recommend it. It is a conceptually nice idea, but one that is not-yet-ready-for-BTA-MALL-Prime-Time.

Love the convenience - but not the scratches
These are well worth the price just for the convenience. I must have 10 pairs of reading glasses sitting around but often find myself without them, particularly in a restaurant. These stick to the back of my iPhone and are unnoticeable. I used different double sided stick tape than what was shipped with them and have had no issues at all with them coming loose. I bought a second pair for my hubby's android phone.
UPDATE: I've had these a little more than six months, so I wanted to revisit my review on these. I still love them! I love that when I forget my regular reading glasses, I still have these, as my phone is always with me. I have only one issue. Over time, they have gotten scratched up by being taken out of and placed into the plastic case they are stored in. It has started to affect how I see through them. The pair I bought for my husband also has the same type of scratches. The is the only drawback of having these. I have continually recommended these to people but have warned them about the scratching. If they come out with a case that is lined with felt or some other soft material, I would probably purchase another pair. I'm attaching a photo of how the scratches look.

Unfortunately my glasses broke, please contact me.
I'm hoping seller contacts me. I really liked the product and recommended to friends. Unfortunately they broke at the bridge after using lightly for 3 months or so.
Will update review later.

Readers and a better mousetrap
I decided to get these, recommendation of a respected colleague. If you need readers, you know that there are inherent challanges with having them conveniently around. These come in a hard case that's thin enough to avix to aa convenient surface to secure the glasses. I happen to have the case stuck the the back of my iPhone plus. It took very little time for me to get acostomed to having the case on the phone.
These are more like spectacles than glasses in that they sit atop your nose. They do have some tension (or, pinch) to them to help them stay on. I find that the more I use them, the more I am successful at getting them to "stick" to my nose in a position that is comfortable to use.
Because these are very convenient and becasue I took the time to get them to work for me, I gave them a 4. I would buy them again and, paid ~$15 for the black ones here on BTA-MALL.
I was plesantly surrised to discover that these have a lifetime replacement should they break. The registration for the warranty is wicked easy.

Unexpectedly handy! Great little helper!
Didn't think I'd ever want one of these but bought them on a whim for my crochet / sewing bag. Like many other folks, I need a little magnifying glass to see part of a project and don't feel like schlepping along my clunky ol' readers just to see a few stitches.
Was amazed at how thin this glasses/case set was - probably no thicker than 2 credit cards, and fits in the palm of your hand. Could easily fit into a side pocket in your purse or an inside jacket pocket. I thought they would fall off my face, but they fit really well and the nose clamps didn't hurt a bit. They even fit in front of my REGULAR glasses, but only if I moved them farther down my nose...and it wasn't a particularly sustainable position (plus, I looked REALLY dorky).
Now, I think that after a while these glasses could become a little irritating, and they are not designed to be worn while you're jumping / walking around a lot, but if you're just looking for a set of glasses to help you see a menu, or get a little short-term magnifying action, they're kinda awesome.
I'm now going to be getting at least one more in a stronger magnification for my crafting bag!

Color me impressed!
Color me impressed! I have a bowling teammate who has had ThinOptics for a while. I finally decided to order a pair for myself ... in red. I get so many compliments on them and they are very handy to have around. I have the included holder attached to the back of my cell phone so that they are never far away. I've have many pairs of reading glasses over the years, but these are by far the best. Every time I wear them, somebody asks me for ordering info. I finally decided to write a review because one of the nose pads broke. The only flaw with these glasses that I've found (for me) is that I forget I'm wearing them when I eat. The chewing motion seems to cause them to lose their grip on my nose. They fallen off dozens of times while eating, usually into food. Since I don't need them to eat, just to read the menu, it's a good reminder to put them away. Long story short, they finally broke. But replacement was a breeze from the manufacturer and the lifetime guarantee. Five minutes later and my new glasses are on their way. I recommend these glasses to anybody that needs reading glasses and I buy them as gifts for friends. You can't go wrong with excellent quality and a lifetime guarantee!

Way too convenient... but the stickum doesn't last...
I got these for my husband after he saw his friends had them stuck on the back of their cell phones. He loves them. They don't fall out of the pod case, and they are way more convenient that carrying around a regular pair of reading glasses. Handy for reading menus and labels on food items, etc. No more glasses falling out of shirt pockets or getting broken when crushed in pants pockets, or left behind in the car or at home.
10/29/17 UPDATE - The downsides: 1) He's had them for 7 months now. I've had to replace the stickum 3 times with double-sided tape. His phone is protected by an Otter Box. Each time I peel off the old tape and then clean both surfaces well with acetone to remove all tape residue, then clean it with rubbing alcohol to remove any traces of acetone, then wash both the phone case and the pod case, and then clean again with rubbing alcohol before reapplying the tape. It lasts maybe a month to a month and a half. I know it is going to happen again... so going to Home Depot to see if they have a stronger version of double sided tape. It's getting annoying and they unstick at the most inconvenient times. 2) The lenses are now a haze of scratches which tells me they are not very scratch resistant (no real coating on them) and/or they are made from a softer plastic than prescription glass lenses. I don't really know. Just guessing. He's not gentle on stuff yet he has traditional reading glasses that he has had much longer, and uses them daily at home, and they are not even half this scratched up. In spite of those two things, they are still worth having.
