Try it - it work.
Software is not perfect yet (sometimes fails to send a manual command - but it does let you know that the command failed and scheduled (Timer) commands seem to work consistently) but it does seem to get better with each new software version/update. It is still far better than all the other IR/WiFi solutions I have seen (Tado, Sensibo, Remotec, etc). I would recommend that the manufacturer add two major features: #1) You should have the ability on the timers to select weekdays and weekends (as opposed to just repeat daily/weekly/monthly). #2) IFTTT support would be very helpful and would allow integration with other home automation systems (consumers who are likely to buy this sort of product probably have other home automation systems and care about interoperability).

Great idea, poor execution
I really wanted to like this product, and was so excited for it to arrive. Sadly, the product didn't live up to my expectations. 3 details to share.
Setup was a major pain and no instructions were in the box. I quickly found the app for my Android phone though and figured it would be easy. First, the app requested access to my Phone call info, SMS, and contacts. (That seems really slimy.) I denied these and worked through setup. I had to find the web site for instructions on getting the device paired (button on side of device I missed and not mentioned by the app). Eventually, I did get it setup and it started to work (for a while.)
The app for both iOS and Android were pretty bad. They worked but where not very intuitive. Setting the location for outside temperature was impossible as it asked for city name and country. It ignored when I entered my state (I live in the US.) and then lists 5 towns all with the same name in a list to choose from. I went through all of them, but it seemed to keep selecting the same one which is a much warmer area than I live in. The Android app was so bad, I decided to put it on an iPad and see if that was better to work with, but it was basically the exact same app.
The killer issue however was the device won't stay connected to my WiFi. Sadly, every few hours, it would drop the wifi connection and stop working. As I don't need to adjust my AC all the time, basically anytime I wanted to do something, it was disconnected. I went through a number of resets and tried a few locations for it, but as my phone, tablet and laptop all have full signal in these locations, I don't think it is a location issue.
I did love the idea of using IFTTT, but as it can't stay connected, it just gives me a bunch of IFTTT errors. Support was reasonably quick to respond to my questions, but unable to help with the WiFi issue so I am returning it. I could have lived with the bad app and setup process as really once I had everything connected with IFTTT, I'd never see either again. Maybe I just had a bad unit, but with the app issues, I'll be looking for a better option.

Android non functional IOS works after a lot of restarts but seems to be working ok
I really wanted to like this product , after 5 hours of tinkering with this i was about to give up then I switched to an IOS setup from an Android - I was stuck in my android setup with a connected wifi but no internet. I have managed to get almost all of the way through an IOS setup Except that the system balked at entering an ID for my Home Mini Split . SO i started again except the device now seemed to have a mind of its own - SO started again (reset Router to B G mode , uninstalled app reinstalled app , powered off device waited 5 minutes re-powered on device. Got all the way to connecting (to manufacturers site) , nope that failed asks for a WPS pair up and that failed.. So unloaded all software reset all hardware and start again This is the last try , so far so good I got all the way through and manged to turn off my heat pump. Getting any of the icons to work on the screen is the next challenge Ok so now I can switch my unit off now testing the switching on function - now works just fine. Setting temperatures works just fine getting better by the minute. Missing feature Vertical vane control which directs the airflow across the room. The timer function is a line by line ( set on time a temp) then repeat by day week year This switched the system on I assume that a new line item describing an off time and emo is needed.ok so fall is here and I want to set am and pm timers up,easy enough I assume that they are in fact temperature set at the head end I'll need to recalibrate the offset for fall .Not a fault of the unit , but the head unit seems to have a mind of its own responding to commands when it feels like it

Iv been running this thing for a couple of weeks. It's really nice to have ifttt integration, but it lacks direct Alexa integration, and Stringify integration. The direct Alexa integration is essential for streamline commands like "Alexa turn on the air conditioner". Instead it's "alexa trigger + custom command". Very clumsy and awkward. The temperature is also off by at least a full 3 degrees Fahrenheit, which is annoying to program. The interface is in depth, but clumsy and awkward to deal with directly. Also, the transmitter is line of sight, directly in the beam style, which limits where you can mount it in relation to the air conditioner. My Broadlink rm pro+ is against the same wall as the air conditioner (above it), and can bounce the signal off the wall 20' away, and bounce back, and still trigger the the rm sensor on the bottom of my gree air conditioner. The only real strength this thing has is ifttt integration. Is it worth $120? Absolutely not, when you consider the rm pro can do it for $25 (that's what I paid), with direct Alexa integration for "Alexa turn on the air conditioner".

Awesome Awesome Awesome
I recently installed a Mitsubishi Mini Split in my garage in PHX, AZ. Our electric company raises the rates to nearly 8x higher between 3-6PM. I wanted a way to schedule my AC to be off during those hours and not have to program the remote EVERY DAY to do that. This was the answer! The device is about 30' away mounted to a wall with the IR eyeball facing the AC unit. It was easy to set up in about 5 min. When you send commands through the app it uses your home wifi to transfer the command to the box and blast it via the IR eyeball to the AC unit. Genius! When I couldn't understand how to calibrate the temp on the app the customer support guys emailed me back within an hour. 3 emails sent to them with nearly immediate responses. That was amazing and helped me understand what I needed to do and got it all going perfectly. It's been in for almost a month and it is performing flawlessly!

Price - expectations = value...in my case 2 stars
I really wanted to like this. Firstly, the unit feels cheap with flimsy plastic and no weight to it. The USB micro plug going into the unit does not sit securely, breaking the connection if the unit is moved. The pairing mode was time consuming as I made the mistake to press the pairing button for more than a second; this started the pairing light to flash yet did not enable the internal wifi setup. It was not clear from the instructions that a brief press vs long press of that button would make a difference (my bad I guess). Eventually I got it to connect to wifi and connecting to my LG Art Cool mini split unit. At this time I discovered that the LG unit would only change temperature in 2 fahrenheit increments i.e. 71 on the app would set the LG unit to 72, 73 ro 74 etc. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but for $150 I expect more. Sending it back unfortunately.

Works Great! Get this!
Fantastic item! My Mitsubishi electric mini split ductless came with a standard remote with a timer that I had to set every day if I wanted it to automatically cut on and off at certain times. The unit sits in a sunroom
that can get very hot in summers. I needed a way to program the unit to cut on and off the same times each day, even of I am away from home. But the unit didn’t offer that option. The installer said there was a really expensive controller I could buy to replace what it had but it would need professional install. This was the answer. It works beautifully. No need to look for remote control codes or match the remote with the unit! You plug it into the wall, download the app to your phone, and then use the app to “pair†it to your home wireless system (not to your phone). The hardest part was pairing it wasn’t hard for me but a person who isn’t great with internet stuff will want help from someone familiar with pairing and how wireless works. Also my unit also did not come with directions but there were instructions available from the manufacturer online and youtube videos that showed what was needed. Again, easier to understand the instructions if you have paired something before. But. This is worth it.
Find someone to help if needed. It took me 15 minutes to set up and half of that was finding and reading the instructions. But it works like a programmed remote control; if pointed at the unit can turn it on or off out of the box. To schedule it to go on or off automatically, you have to have one schedule with a time for it to come on and a separate schedule for it to go off and then you can make that repeat daily or weekly etc. You can enter multiple schedules per day. And you can control it all over the home from your phone so long as you are on the wireless network. Now I saw some indication that you can control it away from home. Haven’t tried that yet and it seems a little odd but perhaps. I just set it before I take a trip. It is white plastic and shaped sort of like a thin 3 x 3.5 closed clamshell so it is easy to hide although it has to be pointed toward the unit it is to control and plugged into a wall. Now instead of running the unit all day at the same temperature or having to remembering to turn it on or off each day, I use this. Really great item!!! Saving me tons of money because rhe unit only runs when necessary and the sunroom no longer becames overheated or too cold to usein winter.

Very easy to use
Very easy to use. I had some trouble on the initial set up, but that was my error. Instead of having to buy an expensive thermostat and get an electrician to set it up, this was the cheaper and more practical solution for my wall unit. I have a msz-GL09A mitisubshi unit and it works great with it. I would recommend this product.

I bought around 16 units. This is a cloud-based device. They have a lot of cloud server problems. During their problems, you will not be able to send commands and receive stats of the unit.
Update after almost 2 years of using it:
All apps have an account to sign in to access accounts and show all AC devices/units from central location except this product App. Every time I change my phone, I have to scan my AC devices/units again one by one.

It could use a bit more refining.
I had a hard time with the setup. For one, the app takes you through the same kind of setup as a WiFi thermostat where you have to connect AirPilot to the unit via WiFi on your phone. When you connect you get a message that you can't connect to the internet. Well, duh, you just connected to a device that isn't yet connected to the internet. But, there the setup stops and you have to figure out how to get to the next step. It just sits there on your phone's WiFi settings screen. When you finally figure out that you must exit the WiFi settings screen back to set up then you have to choose your WiFi SSID and manually enter your local WiFi network key. Where's WPS, yo? Then, IF it connects to your network AND the internet you get to choose the rest of the setup options. If it doesn't as happened to me, you are stuck. There's no information about what to do or what to expect.
There's not enough information regarding the specific models of devices that it controls. Mine is a Pioneer mini-split sold here on BTA-MALL. The setup screen lists about 4 or 5 Pioneer models so I picked the one closest to mine. Wouldn't communicate over the internet but if I pushed the test button, it worked. No instructions at all about how to solve this. My brain says that if you push the test button and it works there must be a connectivity issue. Wrong.
After three weeks of repeated calls to AirPilot (which is located in the UK and forwards the tech support number to a mobile) and promises of return calls I finally reached someone who was able to tell me which option under the device settings to choose. Now it works as it should. Which could use a bit more polish.
The app allows you to control the device in all aspects but it's not very intuitive. There is a button for "STATUS" but it doesn't really seem to work much at all. If thise device has been operated locally by the remote, the app has no idea about this. I had my A/C on at 79 degrees. I opened the app and clicked "STATUS" and nothing happened. The app thought the unit was off. Well, I guess I'll just use the app to set the device, not find out what's actually happening.
Lastly, AirPilot has indicator lights on the front panel which cannot be turned off. For me, that's annoying. I'll use tape to cover them. You must have the AirPilot visible to the device you're controlling as it works by IR; line of sight.
