I received this shock mount very fast. that was about the only thing really good about it. the threads on mine were damaged.
I had to go and buy a different mic mount and remove the attachment point. Then, drill out the hole on this mount to fit the new attachment.
Also, would have been better if it came with a thread adapter to go from 5/8 to 3/8.
as far as how it works, it works fine. not the best, I still notice some sound coming through from my desk here and there. but for 8 bucks it works fine, assuming the threads are not damaged.

If I had a different microphone this would be a great solution.
So I've been incredibly frustrated with this mount but that's mostly due to my specific situation. I have a Blue Bluebird microphone which at its base has a piece of metal that's wider than the rest of the body. What this has resulted in is me having to take out the foam lining from this, shaving it down and always having to struggle with the clamp to get it to fit around the microphone.
That said, the thread fits perfectly on my mount, the lock holds tight, and the clamp holds on well. If I had a different microphone this would be a great solution.

Says large, but is for 43-47mm only
* Standard binder-clip style opening
* Low cost
* Size not specified (this is for 43-47mm microphones)
* No adapter from 3/8" to 5/8"
* Only comes in black
This is exactly the same as all of the others. This is only the small size, only in black, and only 5/8" threads.
The description says "for large condenser microphones", but you need strong hands to squeeze in a 48mm mic, and there's no way you'd fit in a 50 or 52mm mic.
The bonus is that it's very low cost, so if it's the size you need, then that's great.
Same as with any of these, if you're not rough with your mic arms, this should last.
-1 point for not including the most common thread adapter, nor offering a silver option
-1 point for not including accurate mic size limits in the product description

Check Your Mic Diameter First
This shock mount is a very good deal. With the foam on the inside its a tight squeeze for many mics. Check the diameter of your mic versus the size of this mount before you by. If it too tight at first, what I did was take the foam out and mash it flat. Then put it back in the holder and put the mic on. I doubt I will ever get it out, but so what?! It's a great deal.

Got this for a Neewer NW800. I had a Neewer desktop boom stand that had a 3/8" connection. Needed a 5/8" to 3/8" adapter (used this guy: http://smile.amazon.com/Andoer-Female-Microphone-Adapter-Thread/dp/B013WMBVL4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00) Works like a charm

Good flexible unit!
Works well with my condenser mic. Tight fit, but managed - the mic is a studio type with a housing that's fatter than the typical lipstick type. That said, the unit appears to be well constructed and can support the weight of my relatively heavy mic. Well satisfied with the unit and with the vendor.

i was very impressed with this shock mount..yes if you spend $300 you'll get a proper cage, but at this price along with how sturdy this one is, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Does the job, certainly cheaper than the last one I had who's rubber degraded in the Colorado dry air.
