Looks Expensive but Not
Using regular curtains (not water proof) in a design element in a bathroom; this is the perfect option. I have to say, even though the directions say you need to have 2 people to install, I did this myself and it was easy. As a Designer, I often suggest a double rod to dress up a bathroom. See pictures attached :-)

The tension lock adjustment seems to be a weak point in this model. I was unable to expand it because it was locked extremely tight. I ended up having to put it in a vice to unlock it, and after being installed it doesn't hold as tightly as I would like, requiring intermittent tightenings. Overall not impressed and will most likely end up replacing it.

Looks good but tricky to install!!
Well, I was looking for a chrome tension shower rod that did not require drilling holes in my new bathroom walls for installation and finally found it. There is one just like this item at BBB but not in chrome so I ordered this from BTA-MALL to go with the other chrome fixtures in my bathroom and got it within a few days with free shipping. When it arrived, I noticed some kind of water marks on one of the end-caps but I'm willing to overlook it because of the limited choices I had. The only major issue I had with this item was installation. It takes several minutes of patience to get it in the correct position and even then, the rods may not always tighten while in place so you may have to take the whole thing down and adjust the rods manually by pulling them apart a little and then putting it back in place to tighten...you may have to do this a few times!! And the little screws that tighten the end-caps are so small that they could be easily lost if dropped so make sure you have a drop cloth/towel handy in case they fall into your tub drain or the vent near your floor never to be found again!! And if you are short, you may need a step-stool to ensure that your shower curtain/liner isn't too low. I hope this helps.
Update November 2016: Well, its been a little over a year since I ordered this item, and it has started to fall down a lot lately. Could be due to a number of reasons: weather changes as reported in previous reviews, constant falls causing internal damage, heaviness of my linen shower curtain with weighty metal hooks, or the fact its a double rod which is heavier than a single rod, etc. Whatever the reason, I got tired of having to take the rod apart in order to hang it over and over again, and decided to order the same rod but with the mounting hardware from HD since I never received the mounting hardware from BTA-MALL. Initially I didn't want my new porcelain tile damaged but its been over a year and the "newness" of the tile has worn off! Plus, I figured it would be easier and more permanent to just have my handyman install it with the mounting hardware. But this time, he hung it with the smaller inner rod facing the inside of the tub so now when I hang my wet washcloth and towel, they hang on the inside of the tub without getting the floor or my linen shower curtain wet! So far so good...but only time will tell how it holds up and if the inner rod will rust from having direct contact with wet items as reported in previous reviews...

Finishes the look I am going for.....
This is beautiful! works great! Finishes the look I am going for, two shower curtains. But I must warn you, if you are REQUIRED to use TENSION ROD ONLY (renting?) I would not get this, as nice as it is. I couldn't get the tension tight enough to support its own weight. (its heaver then it looks, its NOT SILVER PAINTED PLASTIC!!!) So I had to drill, but its still beautiful and with the New curtains, lovely, lovely!!! Pay attention to what your hanging and how many rings you'll need on each rod. There is no standard. I needed 9 on one and 12 on the other. COUNT YOUR GROMMETS! If your curtain rings don't fit OVER THE ROD, (without scratching it or braking you rings) you will need to put your rings ON before you lock down the rods.

Looks good BUT!!!
Do NOT buy this if you think you will be able to mount it without drilling holes! It simply DOES NOT work. I tried everything to get it to expand. It is just a poor design and was never really tested. I think the main problem is with the threads, they are too rough and the surface of the part that is suppose to grip the inside of the tube is too smooth. When it is tight enough to grip the tube, it is then too tight to let the threads move any further. I tried putting a white grease on the threads beyond this point, but with out any luck. Not happy about having to drill into the Tile, but see no other way to make it work. Wish me luck, as the Tiles are 9.5 inches wide and 29.5 inches long. It will be a mess to try and repair the damage.

Use something grippy to help twist for good tension. Double rod is extremely handy.
I've installed this in 5 bathrooms now and actually had a really easy time installing them all. It was easiest in one situation in particular, because although I did use it as a tension rod and did not drill to mount, I rested it on the top edge of the quartz shower surround.
In the other 4 bathrooms however, I used this as a true tension rod. 3 of these are in rental properties. I know tenants are not always the most gentle in handling fixtures, but so far no complaints from any of them.
One tip - - - use something to help you get a good grip on the rods so you can twist and tighten securely. I used a pair of those gardening gloves that have a grippy silicone/rubber palm and those worked great. I think a rag or towel would still be slippery, but if you have a couple of those pads to help open jars with, those could work too.
Instead of hanging the liner on the inside rod, and the curtain on the outside rod, I chose to hang both on the outside rod.
I am using the inside rod to hang a shower caddy, and also using hooks on that rod to hang my bath scrub towel. I use one of these hooks on the far side of my shower, to also hang my bath towel so it's easily reachable when I finish my shower.
Pics of the shower caddy and S hooks are attached.
I've only been using this for several months now, so still can't comment on durability or rust free longevity.
I can say that it's beautiful and the double rod is extremely handy though.

wonderful rod! love that you have the choice to either use the tension setting or it can be mounted to the wall. we were looking for something tension, this worked incredibly easy and well and does require 2 people but took literally 5 minutes. once you get it tight, it holds so well. instructions are not great but it's self explanatory and I'm not even good with these things. just be sure to loosen both sides screws before placing it up there, then adjust the rod tightness and tighten all of the screws again afterwards. really easy, beautiful look!

The bad locks and the lack of outward tension make installation frustrating
The engagement mechanism that locks the rods at the desired length was very unreliable for shorter spans. My shower stall walls are at just over 46 in. apart, and it was very difficult to get the rod locks to engage at that distance. Also, the rods provide no tension outward: the locks simply lock the rods in position. The bad locks and the lack of outward tension make installation of this product a very frustrating process.
If you really must have this design, my advice is to make sure your children are not around when you install it—you will be doing a lot of cursing.
on 2017-03-16 Wound up returning it.
This is a nice shower curtain bar. I wound up returning it because when I mocked it up on my shower, I discovered that the mounting brackets wouldn't allow the outside bar to be placed on the outside of the tub. Take a look at this model Zenna Home E35604SS, NeverRust Aluminum Double Curved Shower Curtain Rod, 45 to 72-Inch, Chrome
that we ordered to se what I am referring too. With this one you can mount the bracket on the edge of the shower and it allows the outside curtain to drop outside of the tub. Plus it costs less too. I am will post a video this weekend to demonstrate more what I am referring too.

The concept of this product is great however it didn't work the way I thought it ...
The concept of this product is great however it didn't work the way I thought it would. First, you need two people to install this, you need to hold on to the 1st pole to twist tight the 2nd pole. 2nd, the pole seems to slip when you hang a towel. I had a light liner and it still slips so I hesitate to put my cloth curtain. I had to tighten to poles twice in a week. I will give it another chance and adk my brother to help me install this again, otherwise it's goin to the garbage. I will buy two shower poles instead if I really want to have to selarate the liner & the curtain or buy a double hook shower ring
