Clean and simple
Timex recently updated this model. The side buttons are a little larger than the previous model. The design is more streamlined and straightforward. Many other digital watches have too many buttons and useless graphics. This watch works for me.

PRETTY GOOD FOR THE MONEY ESPECIALLY AS AMAZON IS OVERRUN WITH CHEAP, JUNK WATCHES LATELY....
Finally, an inexpensive, decent waterproof watch. I'd give it 5 stars but one of the SET buttons is already loose AND no directions included in how to set it up. Yes, they're online but when you enter the code on the back of the watch to get specific instructions, you're directed to VERY generic instructions that include a button that this watch doesn't even HAVE...oh...so they want you to use the start/split button at the 6 position beLOW the watch face? Why then does it direct you to a button at the 3 position that doesn't exist on this watch.
They've created a work around using the software of the watch with a - and + LCD symbol but you have to have a microscope to see it. Wouldn't it be easier to PRINT out directions that match the watch than redesign the software and HOPE people can figure out what you mean? Timex and Casio watches have been the only watches I prefer but I'm guessing they're being outsourced to countries "wot don't speak the Queen's English." Sigh... it shouldn't be this hard. You shouldn't HAVE to go online to get directions for a watch you bought. The little wad of paper that comes with it is nothing but a useless "warranty" that is basically VOID the second you buy the watch, for one, if you don't buy it from an "Authorized Timex Dealer." Seriously.

Love these Ironman watches.
I needed a solid watch that can stand a lot of outdoor activity and some decent beating. I've had another Ironman (different model) for many years, but needed something black to fit my uniform. After trying a couple G-Shock watches, I couldn't find one that wasn't too big or flashy so I went with what I've used before and still true to it's form, this watch is exactly what I was looking for from the start.

Too easy to unintentionally press a button --too bulky
I've worn Timex Ironman watches for years. This latest purchase was my fifth watch. They are accurate, lightweight, and durable. All that for a very affordable price. I bought the most recent replacement for one which finally--after several years of faithful operation--finally gave up the ghost.
Functions and operation of this watch is identical to my previous Ironman watches.
However -- this one seems a bit more bulky than my previous watches. Furthermore, it is all too easy to accidentally touch one of the buttons. It happens randomly and I end up unintentionally changing time1 display for Time2. Or setting off the clock. I wake up after a night of sleeping and find that during the night I bumped a button and activated the timer. Consequently -- I can no loner trust what I'm seeing on the display as accurate. Have I changed the time? Did the date change accidentally? It seems to happen every day which is something which never occurred on my previous Ironman watches. So I can't give this one more than 2 stars. The Ergonomics on this design make it unreliable for time keeping under normal everyday circumstances.

I've worn a Timex Ironman watch for years now and ...
I've worn a Timex Ironman watch for years now and this one is the forth one I've purchased. I've had the 30 lap watches in the past and they have held up well. The straps tend to fail before the actual watch does. I do manage to get a few years out of them before this happens. My last one failed after going in and out of the water a number of times. I think the temperature changes caused it to fail. I purchased the ten lap watch to see how it would hold up under the conditions that I put my watches through. I have no complaints about the ironman watches they take a beating.

I am with watch!
My last iron man watch died and I tried to wait to get another one. I have attention issues, however and really need to be able to check the time constantly. I prefer the men's iron man watches because they are water-resistant, always have at least one predominately black version, keep the day, date, month and time AND they have a light. Also, it's not so big that I feel that it looks unfeminine (I'm a woman). I'm sure it's partly psychological but I feel SO much better to have my new iron man watch!

All plastic parts - but good for the price
100% plastic and not nearly as substantial as the more expensive Ironman watches (with metal and plastic) I've had over the years. For example, it has a cheap plastic watch face, rather than a thicker glass one. It also has flimsy plastic buttons, instead of metal ones. But, with that said. I use these watches for running/working out and wear them 24/7 then toss them when they stop working. The price is great and they last at least a year or two. You can't buy replacement batteries for much less than the price of this watch. It's a great purchase when you consider the price. It works well, has a very readable display and so-far so-good.

Works for me.
Has the features I needed, most importantly you can shower with it on. Smart watches don't really like that sort of thing, unless you pay out a LOT of $.
Also for those of you who are crafty of a sort, to keep the face of my watch clear, I ordered a cheap 3 pack of smart phone screen protectors, and because the watch screen is generally circular except the bottom fifth, I cut out and installed a screen protector (SP) for my watch, so if the SP ever gets scratched I can take it off, and replace it with a new one.

This is the 3rd timexwatch similar to this one I have owned
This is the 3rd timex watch similar to this one I have owned. The others were practically bombproof but earlier models. On this one the big middle start stop button stopped working after 3 weeks and is useless for timing things which I use frequently. I note one other reviewer had this same problem so I think it is likely a common defect. Unfortunately, after 30 days you cannot return the watch, so I have to go through the warranty process with Timex if I want to have them fix it. I guess a great product has been improved and is now junk. Buyer beware.

Too big for smaller wrists
Too big for my small male wrist. My wrist is 6.25 inches around, and I had to buckle this in the last hole on the strap. The end of the strap was a struggle to insert and remove from the keeper loop, because of a tab they decided to add to the keeper loop. This is getting returned.
It's a shame, because this is such a stylish, waterproof watch. Timex needs to offer more "mid-sized" options. I found what I need with the Armitron Sport Unisex 45/7076.
