Simply does not work and support is terrible - do not buy this product!
Worked great the day I installed it. After a month I received a check engine light. Went to FIXD app and couldn't connect. Uninstalled the app and repeated the connection process. Wouldn't connect to the FIXD sensor via Bluetooth as it easily did the first time. Tech support very slow and vague. App now crashes every time I try to connect. Unfortunately I think this company is going out of business - i'd recommend spending your money elsewhere. Total waste of time and money and failed to work when I actually needed it. Strongly suggest looking at other similar products and not buying this poorly supported monitor.

Rejects my VIN as invalid, won't pull codes, WORST PURCHASE EVER.
The FIXD forces you to input your VIN number, except it claims mine is invalid-- it's not of course. I can't continue. Good job guys.
I finally got the app working, and it keeps making me log in.
I tried to read a code from my vehicle and the FIXD app reported everything was fine despite the check engine light being on. I got my cheap code reader out, and it read the error correctly.
I'll be sending this back. I can scarcely remember a worse product.

Waste of Money and time
Waste of Money and time. Thought it would give me more information but only gives you check engine info. I have a faulty sensor in my tire pressure monitoring system and it gives no info on that. No speed info. No realtime stats. Just be aware of what you are buying

Might want to look at one that gives you unrestricted access
First day could not get registered. Lots of problems with Vin numbers not working. Contacted support, same day response but still no resolution. Can't use app or device without being connected to the network and their app. So far not beat experience. Not keen on a $80+ dollar object that turns into a piece of plastic if you loose your network connection.
Update: talked with support (nice support team, they were responsive) and they don't support a lot on my model car. Unit was also defective out of box with an error code. Vin number needed manual entry. Decided to return since there were so many issues and could not read any error codes even if working, support said it could only see if engine check was reporting.
Let me know if larger vehicle support comes out!

Total Waste of Time and Money
I've never taken the time to review a single product but after purchasing FIXD I felt I needed to say something. I bought this on sale from another website to diagnose a 2001 Toyota Sequoia that's been sitting in my driveway for 2 years now after inheriting a Pathfinder. The engine runs extremely rough and starts chugging and coughing at 30 mph. I plugged it in, connected to my iphone and was promptly told there are no issues found.
More recently, the check engine light in my Pathfinder came on as it started making strange noises when accelerating. Great I thought, I'll plug in the FIXD module and know exactly what's wrong. It's a 2008 and the light is actually on so surely it will tell me exactly what the problem is. I plugged it in, connected to my phone and got the same "no problems found" that I got on the Toyota. I have obvious issues with both cars and the check engine light is on in one. I know the computer is reporting a problem or the light wouldn't be on. The FIXD connection is working and tells me everything is fine.
Fortunately, I bought the product on sale for half price so I really only lost time waiting on it to arrive. If you're seriously looking for a product to tell you what's wrong prior to going to the shop, I would look elsewhere. There are a number of more professional computer chip readers that cost a lot less than this one and will actually give you results. I had very high hopes and this was a major disappointment.

Save money checking codes
Popped it in and worked as expected. I bought this because I have a relatively older vehicle and paying to have someone diagnose a check engine light seems silly. With this plugged in, I can see what the problem is and determine whether it needs to go in for repairs. That's worth the price for me. I think there are some limitations though:
* The app 'forgets' the device so you have reestablish a connection each time you want to check or clear a code.
* It doesn't track any other useful information right now but that's not a dealbreaker at this stage for me
* The vehicle checklist (items that you should get checked or repaired at periodic intervals) doesn't interact with the mileage information you have to manually update periodically. If I'm telling you that the vehicle had 150k miles on it, you don't need to show me what needs to be done at 12k.
* When unconnected the device has pea-sized red light that is definitely exciting to my toddler but seems unnecessary
I would recommend the purchase of this device if you want to check codes. It's definitely a savings over having a mechanic do it for you if they are charging you just to tell you what's wrong. If that's not a good enough reason for you, I'd wait.
