... product to read (it decoded the error code into easily understood text) and clear engine error codes
I only used the product to read (it decoded the error code into easily understood text) and clear engine error codes. Easy to use and paid for itself the first time I used it.

Carry with me at all times - my Nissan Murano gives occasional check engine lights, all of which refer to catalytic converter inefficiency. No big deal, simply cancel the warning message maybe once a month! N o action required. Big time savings on shop time/charges!

Good reader for the price. I like the USB port for future updates.

It works better than any other inexpensive scanner that I have used
It works better than any other inexpensive scanner that I have used. You don't have to be a Certified Mechanic to use this.

Intuitive, works as described. If you are tired of being ripped off by car salesman then buy this and put the screws to them next time. I bet his face will drop when you tell him to start the car and you bust out one of these puppies!

Great Little Device at a GREAT Price
Was going 'kookoo' trying to figure out why my "Service Engine Soon" light was on. The shop I was using had previously misdiagnosed what the cause was and had me chasing my tail trying to get something fixed that wasn't even close to being the real problem. With this device and the good old internet, I was able to figure out that I needed new catalytic convertors because my car wasn't breathing properly.
You cannot ask for a easier or less expensive diagnostic tool than this FOXWELL scanner. Plugged it into my OBD2 port underneath my steering wheel and up popped the very intuitive menu. Got the code and (WARNING: even though you can clear the "Service Engine Soon" light with this, you should never ignore the fact that it's there for a very valid reason) off I went to Google the diagnostic code.
