4 Stars By ts on 2018-01-29 Nice big cooking surface too bad you can't use it all. Just got it 10 days ago and it definitely has some hot spots and cool spots. I am a little peeved about the one grommet in the back hole that makes the whole griddle teeter totter - so I had to stick a few washers underneath the griddle to balance it. The company says they do that on purpose to make the oil an and fats drain to the front corner, but that rocking will annoy the hell out of you. I have an electric stove which I hate so I think this will be a perfect add on for cooking, just have to learn how to control the temp, because once it gets hot it will burn things in a second. My gas line was long enough but I use the large propane tank in fact it was the perfect length. Looking forward to doing a lot of cooking on this baby, clean up is a breeze. Used it twice blueberry pancakes burned them I wasn't watching for a minute and it gets that hot that fast yet in the front the batter was still uncooked. Crepes the next day they were done in literally seconds had to make sure the griddle was level or the batter would have all run to the front. Did some tilapia fillets the other night and some burgers the next they came out great. Got a griddle weight for the burgers and it really put a char on them. I wish the griddle wasn't so hot and cold in spots and the burners had a lower setting.
2 Stars By BTA-MALL Customer on 2017-09-10 I should have got one of these a long time ago we just love it. I have to say this is my first flat top griddle. I should have got one of these a long time ago we just love it. I do have some issues with the quality of the griddle, nothing stopping it from working but it has a wobble in the griddle cooking surface. I contacted their customer service group and they are fantastic. They shipped out a replacement griddle right away. the only problem is the replacement has the same defects. They explained it must be a manufacturing defect and please accept the apologizes.

5 Stars By PSH on 2017-09-07 Missing parts..Hurricane Irma Ugh!!!! Perhaps would have rated higher if not for our immediate need. Orlando, FL...Griddle arrived as promised..Thursday. BUT!!!....Coming in from work, we immediately opened package in prep for the inevitability of loss of power during Hurricane Irma!! Product well-packed, secured in Styrofoam. First, we noticed the absence of the stabilizing feet. My husband talked me down, saying that he can adjust and make a go of it! Then we noticed that there is no grease cup!!!! Will have to improvise that, also!! Of course Customer Service is closed. Even if the dept were open, we certainly would not receive the missing parts in time. We did quite a bit of research before deciding on this product. We had been quite impressed that several of the posted reviews had been addressed by the company representative. But, what a major inconvenience this is! Can only pray that the quality control safety standard exceeds the quality control packing standard. It's the little things. A bad day is a bad day. 9.8.17 AMENDING OUR "Ugh" review. The very reason we purchased this griddle still proves true. Customer service is exceptional. As compounded as our frustration was yesterday, this company has made us feel so much better about them and their product. Upgrading our rating!! Thank you Royal Gourmet!!
3 Stars By Zeighty on 1969-12-31 Open it and check it out prior to your return window closing... I so had high hopes after watching several reviews. Unfortunately my experience was not as good as many. The good: The griddle itself is heavy and porcelain coated. Very nice. It was nicely packaged, but there is a caveat in the Bad. The bad:: One of the legs would not attach. It turned out to be the nut or boss that is mounted on the grill and not the screw in the leg. I noticed that it was very hard to turn and I applied a fair amount of force. The screw that is embedded in the leg popped out the end of the leg. Popped out may give your the impression that it flew out; that would be incorrect. As I continued to tighten, the leg, unbeknownst to me, was turning on the screw instead of the screw going into the base. The head this broke through the end of the leg. I did not like the one brass insert in the back left griddle mount hole. I read that it was to help grease drain toward the trap. The grease drain hole was okay in the griddle, however, it was easy for the drippings to get on the flange of the base just above the drip pan. Speaking of the drip pan, I believe my base (fire box) was slightly bent (shipping issue? Not sure, there were several broken pieces of styrofoam in the box). The grease drip pan was entirely too difficult to remove, especially when it had grease in it. This is not the issue with the tab that should have kept the pan tightly in the opening (which mine did not). It was as if the opening the pan inserts into was slightly out of kilter. This is why I think it was bent, as mentioned above. I contacted Royal Gourmet and they asked that I call them to discuss the issues and to send pictures. Because of my overall feeling that the griddle did not meet my expectations and the let down that the one I received was somewhat a "lemon", I decided to just return it to BTA-MALL.
Now for a twist. I wrote this review so RG can make sure that quality assurance is stepped up. Before each griddle is packed, or each part is installed, it should be tested to some degree to make sure simple things like a leg not attaching are not experienced by their customers. This griddle is a value product and the price is very reasonable. If the one you order does not have the issues with the leg, the drip pan not inserting/removing easily or the wobble from the brass insert, it will probably serve you well. I think that they have a good thing going here and the QC just needs attention. I really wished this had worked out.
5 Stars By ECJC on 2017-06-27 Best table top griddle around!! Yes this is the best table top griddle around. Looked at the reviews on line and jumped at it. It heats up fast very portable and ready to cook out of the box which we did and nothing sticked. Drain for grease is designed well so that no grease runs down the legs like the Black Stone. Be caution when using the small canisters do not use all 3 burners or you'll run out fast,, stick with the bigger tank. Wind will play a factor in lighting it and staying lit. Winds were pretty bad when I found this out but moved out around the corner and it performed like a champ. Comes with standard gas line but it's small and you'll need a longer hose which is not an issue. Bottom line if you needs a light weight easy to carry griddle that gets the job done this is it. Very happy with it now looking between the Camp Chef PX90 and the Royal Blue 4 burner for much bigger events.
4 Stars By Chief Cook on 2018-06-20 Poor customer service killed one star I chose this griddle over the Blackstone because The Royal Gourmet does not require seasoning. It is porcelain coated. I've used this griddle about five times so far and it has performed great. The griddle comes with a cover, but it does not look as though it will last very long. Royal Gourmet does NOT sell replacement covers should the original cover rip. In fact there are few accessories made for this griddle (other than a cart). However, I Do like this griddle a lot. Customer service seemed irritated when I asked about buying a spare cover (not available at any price). I lowered my rating to four stars only because of the snotty customer service. No, I would not trade this griddle for a Blackstone which requires seasoning and rusts easily.
4 Stars By Steve on 2017-05-23 I like the product I like the product. Owner's manual says clean the top with soap and water. I was hoping for dishwasher safe. I went to their website, grillshouse.com, to look at product literature and found it was selling for $109.99 which is less than I paid BTA-MALL back in early April.

Heats up well, but the bottom part where the dials are seem a little flimsy and the casing a little cheap, but maybe this is to be expected when buy among the least e pensive. Quality matters and price goes along with it. All in all satisfied, USA consider the price and quality.
3 Stars By CF on 2018-04-02 Warped griddle. I bought my griddle in June 2017 and when I received it the griddle was warped and could not be leveled. After being used several times it got better but now after nine months of use it has gotten worse it is hard to cook when your oil flows to one side of the griddle. I was so pleased with the way it cooked I convinced two of my family to buy your griddle. It would be embarrassing if they should have the same problem. So far I have heard nothing but good comments. I have to watch my food making sure that there is oil it or it will burn and stick. I would like to hear from you and resolve this problem. Then I can go back to bragging about how good your product is.
