Generally worked great.
I have never before used an OBD2 scanner, but had a good idea how it should work. I was looking how to install a battery, but in fact, it does not need a battery. I was surprised to see it work with the car ignition turned off.
The single-line-at-a-time display for error codes is okay, but not intuitive. When I went to erase the error code, I got a message that the erase failed, when in fact it was successful.
Overall, a great but. The mechanic had wanted $89 to diagnose the problem. Because the error code seemed unimportant, and because it just passed smog inspection last month, I chose to erase the error and see if it reoccurs before having the emission valve replaced.

Seemed to work sorta
Seems to have worked. Had a check engine light on due to small emissions leak but the store that checked the code would not clear the light/code so I ordered this. Hooked it up, scanned the code and told it to erase. It said “erase failed” every time I tried it but it still cleared the light/code. Maybe mine is defective?

Simple OBD scanner that does the job.
I bought it through slickdeals sale for $12 & some change and i got it in 2 days. Now i know this one is not the fancy model, or blue tooth connectivity, but hey this thing works for my need. It erase the code as well. Definitely recommended for the people that own an older car. It will saves you time and money going down to autozone or dealership just to scan the code.

Good simple and easy to use
Good simple and easy to use, Only problem is every time I go to reset check engine light, it says fail. Even thought it does re set it. I also noticed that the light comes back on after just 10-15 miles, as other tools keep it off more than 100+ miles. The error is the dreaded P420 catalytic converter , and it doesn't specify as some do if its up stream or down stream. I know many of you reading this have had this error too!
But for quick resets and reads this is great.

Easy to use.
Couldn't be easier. Used it a bunch of times to reset codes on my m45 until I resolved the problem. Car ran bad when check engine light came on. Clearing codes with this kept it running well (and that of course depends on what the code is and your car).

Great value ! Will save you $$$ in repairs.
This is a very useful little tester. The dealer charges $125 to diagnose check engine lights. This pays for itself as soon as you plug it in. Please read the instructions as it is not just plug and play. I was able to retrieve , repair, and clear the code on an 2007 Audi A4. I will update to 5 stars when I test in on my wife's 2011 Volvo.

Affordable & Works. I am appeased.
Just used the scanner for the first time this week, when I had an engine light come on. It was quick and easy to use, and gave me the numerical error code. This particular code was NOT in the list of codes that comes with the scanner, but I Googled the code it gave me and found that it was an oil code of some sort.
Affordable and it works. I am appeased.

It works, maybe not first time
When I first put this in my 2007 Toyota Tundra, it scanned over and over. So I removed it, waited ten seconds plugged it in, and got to CAN and turned ignition to on and bingo, everything appeared as it should. So redoing it can help!

Best $16 spent!
Best $16 spent! Easily Scans and reads codes. All of the codes are in the book for easy find and read. Fixed my cars two codes for free, since all I had to do was clean two sensors and I had the proper cleaners for the job already. For another vehicle, with more complicated problems, I used the code phrasing that is in the book with the car make and model and easily found solutions to the problems. As long as you can read directions, this will be a piece of cake to use. Highly recommend for car owners!
