There's a learning curve, but I like it
I have arthritis and simply can't deal with the twist-on types of choppers. This is easier on the hands BUT there is a learning curve. The seal on the lid makes it trick to pull off. For me, gripping the chute and very gently pulling toward the pouring spout does the trick. The latches were really stiff at first, but now they work fine. They will not latch if you have the lid on backwards! The blades are terrific, the unit is much quieter than many I have tried. I chopped parsley to freeze first, worked like a charm. It then got garlic and ginger fairly small. Like every chopper, it does better with a fuller load. I am personally glad I got the 4 cup because I usually have smaller jobs. The pulse is a great feature and helps prevent accidentally mushing soft things up. The suction cups on the bottom work.
What I don't like so much is the double walled handle. There is already a bit of parsley stuck in there. It looks like you can unscrew everything to clean, but that's a lot of work. The chamber has a lot of unnecessary indentations, which make it hard to get everything out, even with a spatula.
So 5 stars for the stack & snap idea, the excellent quad knives and the motor, 3 stars for the weird design of the chamber, 1 star for the miniscule and very skinny chute, which has so far only been useful for getting the lid off. If you need to slice and shred more than chop, I would recommend another model. But this one is great for onions, garlic, peppers, tomatoes anything choppable.

Pretty good food processor, just be careful unpacking it
It works pretty good and is just the right size for what I need. One thing: BE CAREFUL UNPACKING IT! The blade is not well-covered in the box, and I cut my thumb really bad (requiring three stitches) on the blade when I reached into the box to unpack it.

Nice, powerful, thin slicing
I looked at 2-3 cup food processors but ended up getting this one. I'm glad I did. I don't think anything less than 4 cups would be big enough for much. I used this to make Hummus and 1 can of Bush's beans and one packet of Bush's Hummus Made Easy about filled it!
When using the slicing blade, it is a fairly fine slice. I used it to slice bell peppers (the feeder hole on top is very small [the opening is 2 1/2" X 1"] so I had to cut them into strips.) instead of dicing them, which can be a long tedious job as I buy them on sale and freeze them after dicing/slicing. The results were somewhat acceptable, but the cut is a bit too thin. It might be good for pepperoni, if you could fit a whole pepperoni in the feeder slot but it's too small so you would have to halve or maybe even quarter it. When I sliced the bell peppers I didn't even have a chance to "push them through" with the pusher. This unit is so powerful, it pulled them in and sliced them so fast you could hardly see the action- kind of cool to watch!
Overall, for small jobs I would recommend this unit. I wouldn't recommend a smaller size unless you're going to use it for VERY small items.

4.5 stars... but Perfect size!!!
This is the perfect sized food processor for everyday usage. I can shred a single block of cheese without feeling like I used too big of an appliance for such a small task. Mixing the perfect batch of anything for my small family of 3 is easy with this appliance. It takes up virtually NO ROOM on the countertop unlike a full size processor. My favorite way to use this is to quick chop veggies to sautee for dinner almost #everyday

Easy to use and manageable in size
My huge 8 cup processor died a couple days ago which was ridiculous because I hardly ever used it more than a few times a year. I saw this smaller one, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm really glad I did because it is so much easier than the big clunky one a had. I can actually keep this one out on my counter and use it. I love the snap on lid because I could never get my old one to line up right on the first shot. This is so quick to clean as well. The chute is smaller but I don't see that as a big deal at all. I just care that it works and it's easy to use.

Does as much as the big guys
About 35 years ago I bought a huge Cuisinart food processor. I was so excited. I paid $300 for it at a time when that was about 25 percent of my monthly income. I used it for a few years and loved it. In one of my many moves it got packed away, and I have yet to unpack it. (I guess first I have to find it in my storage locker somewhere in order to unpack it.) All these years I have been reluctant to buy any kind of food processor because of the guilt I have felt over having that Cuisinart somewhere not being used. I had convinced myself that chopping vegetables and grating cheese by hand is a noble endeavor. After recently hand grating a pound and a half of longhorn cheese for some macaroni and cheese for a group, I decided it was time to bite the bullet. But really didn’t need anything big. Problem is, most of the small ones only chop. Had been looking for one that also shredded… And the fact that it slices is a bonus. Have been using this for a few months now, and it got through Thanksgiving like a champ and just now helped me through a large Christmas party. It’s true because of the size I have to do things in batches, but generally use it only for me so rarely will I have to do big jobs with it. I am so impressed with this little thing. It really works well! It seems to do most of the same stuff that my big Cuisinart did. Even better, it doesn’t leak at the bottom when you put liquid in it . And the blade is superior in that it has several levels so that it chops more than just the stuff at the bottom. The strong suction cups are a huge help. If this thing breaks tomorrow, I’ve more than gotten my money’s worth. And at this rate, I could buy about 10 of them for what that original Cuisinart cost. In fact, in today’s economy I could probably buy the equivalent of 30 of them and still come out ahead!

Inexpensive, Includes Shredding and Slicing Disc, Bigger Bowl than Cuisinart
This inexpensive little food processor does all it is supposed to do, and one more thing: Slicing and shredding. This is the only small sized processor I found to have a shredding disc for shredding cheese. Pizza night is much easier because I don't have to pull out the huge processor. This one comes out and does its job quickly, doesn't take up too much space in the dishwasher. The bowl capacity is slightly larger than the small Cuisinart, another advantage as I have found those too small. A worthy investment for those many times you don't want to mess with the heavy duty appliance.

This processor is great for small quantities. It is super super sharp with twin blades. It will even chop meats. The bowl holds all my homemade vinaigrettes without splashing over the side. It is easier to clean than getting out the big Cuisinart.

Safety tab will break easily when removing the lid
I cannot recommend this product. As others have stated the lid safety locking tab which is a small plastic protruding rectangle tab molded into the lid and fits into a slot on the handle, and it fits snug which is good. The lid is very tight (also good) but if you do not remove the lid by pulling STRAIGHT up which is hard to do without some wiggle, that tab will break if you tilt the lid slightly while removing it. The tab is too long and thin.

Poor quality assembly parts
I liked this at first a lot because of its small size, fast performance and easy assembly. After using it only a few times the tiny plastic tab attached to the lid that gets inserted into the handle broke off — and now it's DEAD. Not happy a practically new machine won't work anymore. Poor quality, cheaply made to ensure fast obsolescence. The manufacturer's website doesn't even have the replacement part in stock, and due to low end quality I doubt it's worth replacing. I will never buy a Hamilton Beach product again after this incident.
