Best Baby Purchase We Made!
My son had trouble sleeping in his arms reach cosleeper, so we ended up having him in bed with us which made us a little uneasy. This bassinet style cosleeper allowed me to have him in bed, but protected in his own space. I found that the best way to maximize our bed space (queen size) was to push this sleeper next to the arms reach which is fastened to the bed. This way I could still sleep next to my husband and share blankets without fearing that they were riding up over the sleeper, as would be the case if you positioned it in the middle of the bed. If you do this, you just need to make sure your bed is pushed up against the wall, or that you have another barrier to prevent the sleeper from fallling off the bed.
This sleeper has a metal frame that is well padded and has mesh sides. The frameless portion in the middle allows you to place baby down gently without your arms being blocked by the frame - a small but very useful detail.
At seven weeks, he now tolerates sleeping in his arms reach, but only if I have this bassinet inside of it. I think because it's a smaller shape, he feels more comfortable.
The sleeper collapses in half and travels well in a suitcase. It's also useful for transferring your sleeping baby to another room without disturbing him. We regularly bring our son from the bedroom into the living room while he is sleeping in this.
Great purchase. Don't pay the extra $30 for another brand that has pockets or a canopy, you won't need it!
Definitely the best purchase we have made. Next best is the bouncer that allows me to shower while he entertains himself!

Update: Mold, pad is not water proof, liner is not washable
Update: At first (See review below) I loved this product! But, unfortunately, the pad provided is not water proof and mold developed inside the pad. It was hard to see, until we held it up to the light. I'm very disappointed and rather disgusted now. We threw it out and would not recommend anyone else purchase this product. Aside from the pad not being water proof, there is no way to remove the mayerial covering the sides and bottom of the cosleeper. So if your child spits up, you cannot remove the liner for washing!! I had to manually wash it in my tub... Please avoid this product!!
Perfect place for a sleeping newborn! I bought this for my third child and wish I would have bought it for the first. We have a king sized bed and it fits well in between my spouse and I. It makes night time feedings a lot easier and it is easy to clean.

Mattress could be firmer/flat
This bassinet helped us keep a close eye on our newborn baby for about 2 weeks then as our baby gained weight we noticed that the mattress wasnt firm enough to keep our baby flat on it cause the bassinet would shape kinda like a hammock.,it was great in the beggining, but it did not last long.

I wanted to love this, however
I wanted to love this, however, this thing is big and bulky. We've got a queen and having this in the middle was far from doable with the both of us in the bed... other then the sizing issue I feel it may have served a good purpose.

And finally we can sleep
This is our baby's third bed, which seems rediculous for someone who weighs the size of a house cat. I am now sleeping with about 14" of real estate between the swaddle me and the arms-reach in our oh so cozy queen bed. I took one for the team and gave my husband a luxurious 24" of room and hope that this will kick start our tandem postpartum weight loss plans. The arms-reach serves as an expensive barrier to keep me from rolling to the floor when I try to sit up. Though I'm sure it will come in handy later.
That said, I just slept for 7 hours (not straight of course! that's silly) with a 6 day old baby that has only let me sleep for a total of 4 hours per night since he got home. I feel like people again, kind of. Baby likes that he can stare at me and I don't have to worry about my husband rolling on him, so no more couch for him. I might be investing more in chiropractor care but we are all still winning here.
Someone recommend this doc a tot thing but pennies were saved and sleep was had for much less with the swaddle me. Newborns just want to be close to you, and this let's us be inches apart but in a much safer way.

Great for brand new babies
Very nice little sleeper. Easy to put together and pack up for travel. I ultimately returned it as it was a too small for my girl but would be great for babies under 3 months.

I don't write reviews often but wanted to bring attention to a significant safety issue with this co-sleeper. If you look at my photo, my finger is pointing to a piece that support the top frame of the co-sleeper. There are four of these that fold up.
My daughter has hit her head on them while sleeping many times. Waking up screaming. There is essentially no padding at all on these pieces other than being covered in fabric. After a few times we decided to return it.
If your child moves at all, I highly recommend a different co-sleeper. This has a significant flaw that needs to be addressed.

Good sleeper; Needs work
Didn't experience the chemical smell like other reviews, but did leave the product out for a day before placing baby in it. Side rails are hard and prevent anyone from rolling on sleeper, but the mattress could be upgraded a bit more with more comfortable foam and straps on the back to tuck a sheet into.

on 1969-12-31 Overall, this has been one of our best purchases as new parents.
As a newborn, our son refused to sleep in our Graco Pack 'n Play with Reversible Napper and Changer Playard, Basin
. The napper was tilted at an odd angle, and he seemed to dislike the larger space of the bassinet in the Pack 'n Play. However, while my husband and I were not about to buy yet ANOTHER expensive piece of baby gear, we also didn't like spending the first few nights home from the hospital with a baby who wouldn't sleep without being held. We bought this sleeper as a compromise because the price was reasonable, and it looked compact enough to store well in our apartment. Our son loved it immediately. He seemed to feel more secure in the smaller space. He also liked being able to stare through the mesh so that he could see that my husband or I were nearby. He is now two months old and still sleeps in it. We keep it inside the Pack 'n Play bassinet rather than on our bed with us. Overall, this has been one of our best purchases as new parents.
-compact and collapsible
-easy to wash mattress pad and liner
-mesh sides are breatheable and allow baby to see out
-contoured side gently cradles the baby

Better than a big, cold, flat bassinet.
If you're like me, you initially registered for or bought a flat surface bassinet with all the bells and whistles.. What a mistake. Newborns don't even like to lie flat, and they most certainly don't like to lie in a big, cold bassinet / pack n play / crib, or what have you (even when swaddled). After unsuccessfully getting our baby to sleep in the highly rated Halo Bassinet, I searched the internet for something cozier.
Enter this SwaddleMe bassinet. In terms of design, it's nothing to write home about. The sound and vibrations add-on is cheap and doesn't really do it for me (or the baby), but the simple fact that it's cozy and has incline options helps the child stay asleep longer. Before buying this bassinet, our baby would only sleep soundly in his Rock n play. Now I can put him to bed in this bassinet and not feel guilty that he's sleeping in something other than a bassinet.
The incline is great for reflux, and you have the option to drop it to the flat level, so your baby can learn to lie flat.
