Trouble holding air(Updated)
I received my Trekology pillow today and found that it has a slow leak. I inflated the pillow as instructed (not overly full), and after an hour of being inflated I was able to notice the pillow was slowly losing air. After another hour the pillow was deflated so much that it would have been useless. I really like the feel of the material, size and weight of this pillow, but was disappointed that it was losing air to a point where I would have to re-inflate a few times throughout the night. I have emailed the company about this issue and will hopefully have a reply and replacement soon.
Update: I received an email back from the owner of the company not long after I contacted them. He was very friendly and professional. Not only did he apologize for the malfunction of my original pillow, but he sent me two replacement pillows. I judge a company by how well their products are, but also the way they treat their customers. This company has gained a customer for life. My new pillows both are functioning perfect. Like I mentioned with the first pillow, the feel and comfort of these pillows are excellent. Quality at an affordable cost. Thanks Sherman and Trekology.

I've never been excited about a pillow...
...but I am after receiving these pillows.
Value: As someone that's gotten along with backpacking/camping for 20+ years in CO and MO without needing a pillow, I'm in no hurry to drop $30-40 on other good quality, compact pillows. I'd rather spend that money on something else. But when I saw all the great reviews for this version at a great price I thought it would be worth the splurge. For what you get, it can't be bet.
Design: I ordered the 'new design' version which seems a bit more ergonomic compared to the original so I'm happy with the choice. It was only a buck more so it seemed worth the upgrade. The pillow seems like a good size. Small enough that you could probably wedge it into your hood of your bag to keep it in place, while big enough that you could also use it outside of your bag without it squirting out from under you all through the night. I like the sides too that help cradle your head and keep it from sliding off while in your (typically) slippery sleeping bag. The material is soft to the touch, feels comfy if you would need to use the pillow without anything between it and your skin, but it also doesn't feel too slick.
Durability: I'll have to update you on this once I've use it for a while, however it's not the type of thing that could be used to sit on or abused. I won't be using it for anything other than as a pillow for sleeping/resting so I don't see any issues with this. It probably saves some ounces that way.
Valve: It has a dual valve built into it that allows you to inflate or deflate very easily. Pull both valves out for deflate, pull the first valve out (one way valve) to fill. I did notice that in cold weather that the valve gets stiff (like most plastic). I'm not worried about it, but I was more careful with pulling the valves out when they were cold to avoid breaking something. It seems like the right level of malleable and strength. Not really something that you'll be opening and closing repeatedly that would cause excess wear, but worth mentioning. I'll admit that getting the deflate valve out is not as easy as I'd like and it might loosen up after I use it more, but it's definitely not coming loose when you are sleep. (Picture of valve attached- Closed, Open inflate, Open deflate)
Stuff sack: Comes with a little stuff sack for it. Not much to say about it, but it's appreciated. (Pic included with banana for scale)
I'll update this review once I've had a chance to use on my next backpacking trip.
Update 2/27/17: Just used this for some winter camping for 3 nights and it worked very well. Easy to add more air (as air cooled it compressed a bit) and pillow stayed put between my slick mummy bag hood material and sleeping pad (I was worried it would squirt out all through the night).
Overall, I'm still pleased, but I will point out the release valve is a pain to get open in cooler (not even cold) weather as I suspected when I initially wrote the review. It took a multi-tool to pry the plug out (5th image) because I felt like I was going to tear the fabric away from the plug and ruin the pillow if I applied more pressure. It's a frustration, especially since there are valves out there that don't have this issue and are easy to operate. Dropped a star due to that.

Perfect comfort and excellent customer service.
I bought this for my frequent travels. After my first trip (6 nights) I intended to give this a 5 star rating. Loved the comfort and how easily it fit in my luggage. It was easy to use and to fold back away when needed. I did use a pillow cover with it. A few days into my second (week long) trip the pillow stopped holding air so that I had to blow it up again in the middle of the night. I looked all over it to see if there was some damage, but could find no visible damage. I think the slow leak is coming from the valve. I love so much about this pillow but because it did not stand up to frequent travel and use I gave it a 2 rating. The seller was very responsive and immediately replaced the pillow. The second pillow is wonderful, holding air well, super comfortable and portable to boot. Couldn't ask for more!
I am pleased to say that the seller was very quick to respond to my issues and is sending me a replacement pillow. After I receive it, I will try the new one out for a couple weeks then amend my rating accordingly.

Great quality, but I wasn't smitten
Bought this on a whim after reading all the rave reviews. I go backpacking and camping a couple of times a year so thought I'd give it a try. Normally I just sleep on a makeshift pillow (aka pile of my clothes) so I expected this would be quite the upgrade. I really wanted to love it, but it just didn't work for me. I have it the good old college try on a three night camping trip. I like being able to throw my arm under my pillow (or pile) and that just doesn't work with this thing (even if I let out some of the air). Would probably be better for someone who just likes to sleep on their back, because the support was great.
- Crams into a super tiny stuff sack
- Inflates easy (5 big breaths and it's full)
- Inflate valve has a button that prevents air from escaping as you're trying to inflate
- Super supportive, comfortable to lie on. Nice size
- Too stiff if you want to sleep with your arm underneath or somehow cuddle it

Very comfortable. This teal color matches my Neoair almost perfectly.
Edit 05/17/18: this thing is leaking! I’m on a two months bike touring overseas. I’ve been camping out every night and this pillow last for only one week! I gave it a 5-star rating originally back home when I first tried it for couple weeks. It worked great then.
It’s a very slow leak so it’s very hard for me to check. The pillow stays fairly firm but slowly deflated almost completely in about three to four hours. Perhaps it’s the valve?
I’ve been taking extreme care with this pillow as with anything I have with me on these tours.
Updated 05/19/18 I finally had the chance to find the sources of the leaks. Either this is a major design failure or just poor workmanship or both. When inflated and submerged in water I can see a stream of tiny bubbles oozing out at the seams where your neck should be! It’s about 3 inches long along the seals where the top and bottom parts are glued.
I’m not happy!

LOVE This Pillow which Delivers More than I expected! My Best BTA-MALL Buy Ever!!!
My camping days are way over; however, I purchased two of these pillows because: 1) I was curious after reading their product description; 2) I was leaving for a 3-week vacation in Europe and didn't want to carry a heavy memory-foam pillow that would support my neck; 3) the price was right; 4) they offered colors that would not let the pillows to be overlooked when packing. In short, I think this product is one of the top 3 I have purchased from BTA-MALL over the last few years (and I am a regular customer!). To say I love it and how I was wonderfully, happily surprised is an understatement! Starting with the inflation/deflation gauge that is unique to them -- Wow! And it is very comfortable! I did place it on top of the hotel pillow to give me height, but it supported my neck whether I slept on my back or on my side. I even woke up hugging it a couple of times. I don't inflated it about 90% full which I found to be my comfort zone. I tried it as a back pillow while sitting on a chair while watching TV, and voila! it was fantastic! The only thing I haven't tried is sitting on it, and I'll probably skip that test. You can't go wrong with this pillow! Seriously! I highly recommend it! Like me, you will find it to be a "best buy"! I'm getting one for each of my traveling family and friends!

I am impressed with this pillow. I purchased two so I can also place one to create a gap between my knees that keeps my spine happy. This pillow works well for both that and for laying my head upon.
The pillow has a one-way valve that includes an open/close push lock. In the closed position, filling is super easy. The valve is not at all restrictive except for it's size, which is generous, so you can blow full force into it if you want. Exhaling as normal also works, so you can easily fill it at the end of a long day's trek without feeling taxed. Takes me 4-5 exhales to fill the pillow taught. There is an outer cap to protect the valve from dirt accumulation so I expect many years of service.
After a night's rest, a finger push into the valve housing locks the valve open for easy depressurization and packing. Air exits as fast as you can flatten the pillow, so you can be on your way at first light, or take time to enjoy an awesome sunrise or breakfast.
The fabric is of a weight that I feel strikes a good balance between weight and durability. It's light enough for me to pack two of them for 12 day excursions, but I don't expect one will fail me as long as I don't try to sleep with it directly on jagged rocks. That said, the fabric appears to have enough elasticity that only a knife edge should present a hazard.
The top is slightly brushed to give it that feel of fleece. It's not fleece, doesn't feel like fleece, and doesn't insulate like fleece, but it does feel more comfortable against the skin than non-brushed fabric.
This pillow has been good for placing between my outstretched arm and my head while sleeping on my side. When on my back, I prefer to turn it 180º from the illustrations, it is more comfortable for me that way. I bring two cotton shirts for sleeping, wrapping this pillow in one is a delight.
I do not know the weight rating of these pillow, but placing one in a packable chair makes for some super comfy sitting.
This pillow has worked so well for me, I've been able to tone down my weekend warrior glamping with the scouts. Instead of taking my lodge tent, a cot, and regular pillows, I now am happy with my three person packable tent, a decent air mattress, and these awesome pillows.

One month review
So I really would give it a 3.5 stars if I could. It's lightweight, compact, comfortable, and easy to use. The main issue I have with it is that after maybe 5 uses, it's starting to lose air overnight. It isn't losing enough to make it uncomfortable, but it's losing more than I thought it would this far into owning it so it makes me weary of how it will do further into the future. The second thing I dislike is related to the air retention. The mechanism for keeping the air in the pillow is something new to me. It's a button that you press to lock and unlock the piece that holds the air in. It seems like a bad way to keep the air in and like it could fail pretty easy down the road. Overall, this pillow is definitely worth a try for $15, but if you need a super relaible pillow that will be used almost daily, I'd probably go with something else. That said, this is my first blow up pillow that I've owned, so for all I know they may all have the same problems. If that's the case, then this is a very good value.

Perfect for motorcycle road trips!
I got two of these for a motorcycle trip across USA this summer. I haven't actually used them in the "real world" yet, but after we received them and tried them at home and examined them, my wife and I both agree that they certainly seem to be a quality item, are comfortable, and will serve us well. These pack up small enough to be barely noticeable. In fact, my plan is to pack them in with our sleeping bags... we'll never know they're there until will actually unpack the sleeping bags. My wife sewed some pocketed pillow cases to put them in just to make them a bit easier to handle, keep clean and to make our road experience more "homey". Great item!
